A decent movie. The cast did well. Deepika was really good. I wouldn’t hype the movie as pathbreaking or game changer but a good one time watch.

SPOILER
I feel most people are not sympathizing with Alisha and I do understand why but honestly she was the only relatable character. Everyone else seemed too forced and basic.
When a person grows up with a lot trauma due to their parents and especially seeing her mom hang herself, yea it’s not going to be an easy life.
Her boyfriend was also a jerk to her. I would be pissed as hell with the fact he shared everything with Tia rather than the one paying all the bills and sleeping with. I would feel so insulted.
She talks a lot about her bad luck.. and well that happens. A lot of people feel that way because like Alisha, most face the consequences of their parents actions and choices. She feels she has bad luck due to them. She tries and tries yet stuck in despair. It’s reality.
And at the end everyone somehow or another turns out like their mom or dad. Even Tia did, that’s why she suspected her fiancé. It happens.
Tia was actually the worst character in the whole movie. She knew the truth, she knew Alisha had rights yet took them away from her, yet has the audacity to be so chummy with her boyfriend and act like everything is normal. She irritated me to no end.
Also Anaya played herself onscreen but she was miscast because Deepika and her don’t look the same age.
This was Deepika’s movie and she does deserve a lot of praise for it. And I don’t even like her that much lol. I just hope she gets the awards over Alia because this was Deepika’s finest performance till date.
Also wish the music was better. It would have brought the whole movie to another level.
Gehraiyaan took me five hours to finish. Lord Almighty, it was so slow and gloomy. I had to start fast-forwarding scenes just to finish it. Deepika acted well. This is definitely her film. In saying that, I’ll never watch the movie again.
However, if you know someone who’s cheating or considering it, then get them to watch this film. It’ll turn anyone off because fuck what they went through with a capital F. I was chugging my coke zero down just to cope with my own anxiety.
My mums review was that Deepika is very sexy sexy. That’s her way of saying there was quite a few kissing scenes and thy mum was both shooketh and scandalised. 😂❤️

Tia and Karan grew up together..they were childhood friends..Tia didn't have the audacity to be chummy with her cousin's BF..she always was his buddy..and I liked their equation.
She knew the truth coz her parents told her..she had that clarity..Alisha was traumatized coz she lost her mom. Tia felt her mom was wronged..and even in their conversations we get to hear that her mom never got over it..she had to live with the truth and maybe that made her so skeptical of people..she couldn't trust wholeheartedly and passed on that distrust to Tia's relationship.
Everyone was wronged in this equation.
Alisha's was the central character so we got to see a lot of her trauma..but each one had their own distress..her father lost his love, his career, property, daughter's trust, his whole family and the life he knew..he lived a lonely existence.
Karan was stuck in a job he didn't like, suffered from writer's block, tense love life..
itna ghatiya movie
giving so much wrong msg to young gen
Absolutely snoozefest movie and one can easily give this movie a miss. The ending...what was even that? This movie should have been named F%#k Gehraiyaan cuz that word was used that many times in the movie.
so true....was so irritated to see this F word used in the movie so many times, even unnecessarily at times
lol....must read....review by an angry viewer
