This wasn't underrated, it was everywhere when it came out and still remains a catchy song you wanna nod your head to. Not sure about being ahead of its time but sure, it sounds different from the usual variety of bollywood love songs cuz of the western/classical fusion AR Rehman is known for. Humma does the same thing and it came out way before this song, and topped the music charts too!

I've never paid much attention to this album coz not really a Rahman fan.

And one of the classics of rehman, This actually was not underated but didn't got its whole due, this song deserved National award but same year udit narayan got it for a lame song which no one really have heard or known...

There is one song of abhijeet alka sonu called ayenge din bahar ke something like that I will post it tomorrow... The antras are very much alike and similar tune wise.... And BTW rehman is anyday greater than anand miland 🥱 am actually surprised someone just said not rehman fan.... How come u can ignore the genius

I'd take Illayaraja and MM Kreevani over Rahman any day. He gave some good songs, however the subcontinent has produced artistes much more talented than him.

He is a genius when it comes to sound engineering and the piano. That's about it.
