Usually topics show up as blue icons. And I'm aware of the sticky topics icon.

But then what does red or brown color of the topic icons indicate?

And it turns back to blue eventually? Anybody know?

Edited: If the topic has less than 50 15 replies, it will remain blue. As soon as it crosses 15, it will turn into brown. When the replies cross 50 and the number of views cross 1000 on the first day two days, it turns into red. After a day or two days, the color changes back to brown. It won't go back to blue.

Edit: When the topic has less than 50 replies and more than 1000 views, the light blue turns in to dark blue.

Cheers..

Red indicates there is blood inside that topic

Brown indicates there is poop inside that topic

More on this. I got couple of things wrong in my previous post.

The below message was from Admin Vijay.

Hot Topics (Red) are 15 replies + 1000 views (within 48 hours).

It turns lighter orange once the topic starting time crosses 48 hours.

Similarly New Topic are dark blue and once it crosses 48 hours it gets lighter blue icon.

Cheers..

Not sure but I guess red signifies it's a hot trending topic which eventually turns into brown when it's no more hot and trending.
