The show was too polarizing for viewers. For me the characters weren’t innocent either and criminal themselves for trying to kill maya or Arjun sometimes, sometimes hiding evidence, and sometimes something else. Most were criminals if we are to take their actions in the show. Maya just succeeded with her murder attempts unlike the others who tried. Well, Arjun did succeed in the end with his murder. I didn’t like Maya’s actions towards some other characters unrelated to the main characters towards the end of the show. I liked Jenny in the role too. I haven’t liked her acting in other shows though except that old Sneha’s role in KZK.

Rudra found out about Maya killing her brother and he was tearing their wedding and couple photos while Maya was kidnapped by her first husband lol. There was no end. It just got canceled.

But none of the characters tried to kill innocent people cold-bloodedly like Maya. Only Jhanvi tried to kill Maya, that's because she was a danger to everyone in society.

Maya deserved what she went got in the end.

The story of Season 2 was not as full of twists and turns like Season 1, but I think Maya in Season 2 was much more humane compared to season 1, where she was just a murderous psychopath. Agree about the male lead in Season 2, he was good.

He emotionally cheated on Maya. He didn’t have any boundaries to put love and friendship separate. Rudra also had best friend in love with him, but from the beginning him and that bestie were not shown inappropriately. After watching Beyhadh2, I realized the makers intentionally showed Arjun and S friendship that way and inappropriately. I thought may be they were on high or just didnt use to realize how they are showing them. But Rudra and bf were shown so normal, so that means the makers knew the difference on how to write and show actual friendship and a weird relation disguised as friendship.

Maya2 came across more humane because she had a good childhood which was one of the reason she was much more secure and confident. Her husband was also not confused to give her constant insecurities. But for me she came across more psychopath for murdering Rishi with planned murder right from the beginning episodes. Also we didn’t see the whole show. Going by it’s history most of dark actions happen towards the end of the show. So we never saw the extent of Maya in BH2.

I don't think Arjun and Saanjh's friendship was inappropriate. Except for the Diwali date, she never stepped out of line. She also got Maya-Arjun married. She also tried to make Vandana accept her. Also, Arjun always chose Maya over Saanjh and even left his family for three years. What more could he do?

Like I said, having a bad childhood doesn't give you the right to destroy the lives of innocents.

We would have to agree to disagree. I found many characters wrong. Also to the previous reply regarding murder attempts by characters in the show. It wasn’t just Juanvi: Ashwin tried to to kill Jhanvi, Arjun and Maya many times. Vandana tried to kill Maya. And no we can’t say it was just anger as when Maya tried doing that when she was impulsive and angry, her murder attempts were counted. So Vandana’s murder attempt will count too. Jhanvi tried to murder Maya. Ayaan tried to murder Arjun. Samay tried to murder Arjun and Sanjh. Arjun tried to murder Maya and in the end succeeded with it so he became full murderer too. So all these characters tried to murder and few like Arjun and Maya succeeded.

But at the end, I was okay with Maya dying as she did kill two unrelated people to the show which didn’t have anything to do with her or the rest characters. So she deserved punishment for that, and I didn’t like her living with such crazy characters either. So either live far away from them which she couldn’t or die which happened.

Even Sujal Garewal who was of the very early 2000s from the sensational smash hit Kahiin to Hoga, is more discussed on I-F, Youtube, Insta & Facebook, than Armaan Malik is. Check out AR videos on Youtube Vs Sujal Kashish videos & with all due respect AR doesn't even have 1/3rd of the kinda content that I see of SK.

I've nothing against KSG's Armaan Malik - I used to watch DMG & liked Jennifer & his pair best as AR. Still though, as someone rightly mentioned - Armaan Malik is as good as forgotten. KSG has become more popular with the offscreen controversies & fiascos - that his offscreen image overshadowed & overpowered anything good he may have done onscreen. I cannot associate KSG's image with the loyal Armaan Malik anymore. Such a contrast & disassociation there now.

I as well, remember KSG more for his affairs than Armaan Malik 🤓 Sad as it may sound, it is what it is.

Vandana didn't really try to kill Maya. She simply charged at her but didn't do anything. Maya, on the other hand, did cold-blooded murders.

When did Ayan try to kill Arjun? And Jhanvi tried to kill Maya only because Maya tried to kill her twice.

That counts as murder attempt. She had a knife to kill Maya. When Maya would do that when she was angry or emotional, it counted as she tried to kill. So why other characters murder attempts should be excused? Aryan tried to kill Arjun when he was in jail. He gave money to some people to kill Arjun. You can say Jhanvi and Vandana tried to kill Maya because of this and that, but they are still murder attempts. Same way Maya tried to kill them because they would do something to Maya, Arjun or their baby. Also Jhanvi was the worst mother. When Ashwin tired to kill her, Arjun and Maya many times, she didn’t do anything other than that one attempt to trying stopping Ashwin. But then hated Maya for finally getting rid of that evil person. So at the end, most characters were involved in murder attempts.
