I’m not a fan of anyone in particular but Jen is one of the best on Tv. She is not only good looking but is a good actress as well.

Imo, she deserves a lot more.

Beyhadh had low TRPs, was a Flop on television. Yeah it was an online Hit, but it was primarily made for television audience. Not as a web series. Otherwise the makers would've released the show only on OTT.

If a movie Flops at the box office but gets good viewership on television, it's still seen as a Flop.

I think most people who like a bit decent show have completely moved on from Tv. Like I barely know what’s going on tv. But I think she has a good fan base otherwise.

Most people I knew were watching Beyhad at the time.

I still can't fathom why she decided to show adhvay as this bahubali cum superman. The antagonist and the premise was decent (not as atrocious as current itv) but the execution the less said the better

Plus when IPK1 had come, it was still something fresh.

Rest of the seasons lacked the authenticity and also the humour that made the show worthwhile in the first place. Also chemistry which is important as well.

QH was initially really good as well. The plot line and theme was good, there was humour, chemistry.. but it wall went haywire after a while.

I don’t follow KSG so have no idea about what’s going on with his career, so no comment on that!

But calling Jennifer a flop is too much of a dragging! She is easily one of the top actresses on TV, who doesn’t just enjoy a huge fan following but is also unanimously appreciated by her fraternity. Not only Indian TV stars, but she is followed by celebrities from South India to many different fields. I’m from Nepal and Jennifer is the only TV actress most of the top heroines in Nepal follow on IG. I have seen models being complimented as “You look like Jennifer Winget”. There must be something about her that so many celebrities alike also appreciate her so much. Her name is pretty much taken by every actor and actress when asked about their favorites on TV. Maya from Beyhadh is unanimously listed as the dream role by many actresses. Jennifer is the brand ambassador/face of many popular brands. So yes, you can shout from the roof as much as you want, but that doesn’t change her achievements. I know haters are gonna stay haters, and they don’t affect her life and career at all, but had to say what I wanted to 😀

As a female myself, I’m just glad that her success and popularity soared, and she rediscovered herself as a person and actor after whatever she went through in her personal life. 👍👏

Jennifer is a popular TV actress who gained lot of fame and accolades for the role of Maya in Beyhadh 1. As a neutral, I am saying before beyhadh her popularity got kinda overshadowed by her personal life. I remember people used to talk more about her personal life and call her an average actress. Her strong portrayal of Maya made everyone notice her talent and she finally proved she is a good actress. Then came Bepannaah which ended abruptly due to low trps. Code m turned out to be an online hit and Jennifer garnered praises as she took up a different role. Then she did Beyhadh 2 and in my opinion it was probably the biggest mistake of her career. A concept like Beyhadh 2 is more fit for webseries than a daily soap. Also, Sony and the producer Prateek focused more on Jennifer's star power than the story. They gave more importance to glamorizing Maya and making her seduce two young men in the name of revenge and feminism more than making a good show. The show may have ended due to lockdown (as her fans claim) but the fact is Beyhadh 2 was the biggest disappointment for the channel as well as her career. I really hope Jennifer never plays Maya again. If she's again offered the same role hope she makes sure the story and her character are good.

Logged in after a long time only to see JW vs KSG again😆 Not going to comment on any of that, just want to clear some points as people seem to be throwing around half baked knowledge.

Beyhadh’s TRP never touched 1, it was regularly around 0.6. That it NOT a flop for Sony. The target audience was watching the show, they even gave the show an unnecessary extension (something no one asked for lmao). Comparing Sony shows to Star shows is unfair, because they have a different target audience.

Jen hasn’t delivered a TRP hit since a while, that’s right. But the same people who question an actor’s ground level popularity go around mocking TRP toppers😆 Choose one!

I don’t think it is hard to understand that it is not necessary for a show having a famous actor to have great TRPs. The regularly viewing audience doesn’t look at those factors. When Hina quit yrkkh, the TRPs didn’t see a fall as such, for the same reason. Sometimes you luck out, or you don’t. Jen hasn’t, unfortunately.

Btw, like someone said, most people around me know & enjoy Jennifer’s work, even though they are not avid ITV viewers. And they recognise KSG as a lying cheating ass, that’s all😆 It’s unfortunate, because he’s very talented & had huge ground popularity too during DMG & QH.

I agree on one point you made, BH2 had a concept which is too early for TV. They could’ve made a kickass web series out of it.

I disagree with the rest. Everyone has a different interpretation of fiction, hear out mine. Beyhadh 1 rode on JW’s shoulders, through and through. Jen even said that they were just trying to figure out in S1 - how beyhadh can the audience accept. As long as Jen was able to get the audience on the same line as Maya, makers kept showing all sorts of nonsense after a point. People still stuck with the show, at least 40% of them for JW, I’m sure.

Now, they had explored Maya enough in S1, so they focussed on weaving a story with the same concept of maya- her beyhadh-ness. And I totally disagree that BH2 didn’t have a story. I think the USP of S2 was it’s storytelling than Maya alone. Each character has equal power as Maya to be able to flip the dynamics..unlike in S1 where Maya kept winning (ugh).

Maya was more glamorous & fashionable in S1😆

The only mistake makers made was promoting S2 as a thriller. They should’ve sold it as a love revenge tragedy.

BH2 flopped on the TRP front, but I’m so glad she took this show. Short lived, but I enjoyed every bit. I’m sure there are many like me.

Also, beyhadh 2 did go off air because of the lockdown. Yes, TRPs were too low, but I believe the team managed to convince the channel for letting the show complete it’s run (hence the tweet of Jen clarifying that she did differ on the proposal of going OTT. They convinced the channel for running on TV. Unfortunately, the lockdown meant the PH can’t afford to maintain the sets for long with that kind of ratings. The logical conclusion was going off air. After going off air, Jen did say that they were supposed to run the show till May. 6 months long run, exactly what it was meant to be since the start).

I don’t think beyhadh will have another installment. Nor will Jen want it. I remember during S1 she said that she doesn’t want to take the risk of a second season because “what if it doesn’t work”. S2 did happen, I feel the team did their absolute best to deliver a show bigger & better than S1. Definitely a much better show imo, unfortunately not bigger than S1.
