Abhishek debuted in the year 2000 when six packs or eight pack abs weren't a thing. The only actor who was into bodybuilding was Salman, until Hrithik came along. But it was okay for other male actors to not be in their best shape unlike today.

Body had become a must from 2000s itself. Salman, Akshay, Sunil, Sanju baba were fit. Hrithik was known for his physique. John also became famous for his body when he debuted in mid 2000s. Aamir, SRK also got into body building for OSO and Ghajini in 2007-2008.

Aamir would have been finished if he did not work on his fitness. He was criticised for his appearance in Fanaa. Abhishek did not work on fitness even when he played superhero in Drona.
