Given her atrocious acting , even 70 plus should refuse to work with this old lady.

It has nothing to do with greatness, duty, or being BFFs. It is just pragmatism and common sense. Because we would be better off if we uplifted each other.
Women still don't have equality. Most women have to work twice as hard (or more) to get to the same place as men. Women face far more obstacles than men. Misogyny, sexual harassment, ageism, and so much more. They are under constant pressure on how they present themselves. They are expected to have it all and balance careers with family.
Women tearing each other down is just one more way society maintains the status quo of having women as second-class citizens. Most instances where women tear each other down are just ingrained misogyny.
Men can tear each other down because no matter how much they tear each other down, they still have reserved the dominant status for themselves. No matter how much fun anyone makes of fifty-year-old uncles romancing twenty-somethings - men will still continue getting those roles and most men fantasize about being that person. Bill Clinton emerged pretty much unscathed from his scandal despite impeachment but it would ruin Monica Lewinsky's career for years before she owned her own narrative. A large part of it was due to women themselves who saw Bill Clinton as a handsome charming man and Monica as the seductive other women instead of seeing it for what it was the most powerful man in the United States abusing his power to get sexual favors from a young woman he should have been mentoring.
I don't think you have to be BFFs or bend over backward to uplift other women. And I think you can still criticize and call out other women, you can critique actions and behaviors without personal attacks or commenting on their appearance. Uplifting women doesn't mean you have to tolerate women who are genuinely malicious.
Ultimately, you don't have to. You do you and what's right for you. Maybe I am crazy and have no idea what I am talking about. Maybe you have darn good reason to tear down another woman. It just doesn't make good sense to me.
What you say makes a lot of sense, except for the fact that Clinton (despite being a shady AF dude) wasn't abusing his power in the Lewinsky case. It was pretty much her who chased him and came on to him. He's a pretty problematic dude, but she was the one who initiated the affair, not him.
Commenting on appearance and age-shaming is not something I condone, definitely. Agree with you there. But I also find it amusing how women are criticised for "not upholding the sisterhood" for the dumbest of things, when men do not have to deal with any such criticism when they casually tear down other men.
Given her atrocious acting , even 70 plus should refuse to work with these old lady.
What about 80 ? 😆

At the risk of going off-topic. No, Bill Clinton abused his power and Monica Lewinsky was his victim.
Monica Lewinsky was only 22 when she became an intern at the white house. A 22-year-old is barely legal. They haven't even developed their pre-frontal cortex completely. They are naive, impulsive, and prone to making poor decisions. They need the adults in their life to be responsible adults. Monica Lewinsky was a chubby insecure teen who had a crush on an enigmatic man and was swept away by the fact that he would reciprocate the crush.
Bill Clinton was fifty. He had been in politics a long time. He had been the governor of Arkansas and was the most powerful person in the USA. He was married and had a daughter. He knew very well that he was in a position of power and had a moral responsibility to do the right thing. He saw a young intern with a massive crush on him as an opportunity to predate on her. Even if she flirted with him or showed interest, it was up to him to be the responsible one.
Finally, Linda Tripp also totally took advantage of her friendship with Monica. A good friend would have tried to knock sense into a young intern and redirected her to focus on her career. A good friend would have handled the affair discreetly without ruing the life of a young woman who had a bright future. Instead, Linda Tripp took advantage of Monica's naivety for her own agenda against Clinton.
One question: Since when does Gaurav hate Ash?? I really have been living under a rock (Chris Evans’s preferably, no pun intended here) as far as BW and this forum is concerned.
And Franco is defending him so very passionately and I’m just so very confused.
