Well they usually say no and I adhere to that. Sometimes I do it anyway.
Making fun of someone's age deserves mocking, so yes. 😆
Google Sarathkumar and he is almost 70 years old. Why is Aishwarya coming with a 70 year old hero? She is turning 48 tomorrow. These are facts
She's 48 and what about it? Is that the first time you heard of somebody turning 48? Sarathkumar is 67 , which is only a couple if years older than Anil Kapoor with whom she had good chemistry in her 20s. Only a few years older than Mohanlal who was her first hero. And there years younger than Mammootty who is 70 now and was her hero in Kandukondein when she looked like this
Nayanthara who must be 38 now used to act opposite Sarath kumar when she was barely 20. Disha Patani acted opposite Salman who is old enough to be her father. Ananya Pandey says she wants to marry him ffs . Sara Khan and Akshay.
Do you want Aishwarya to act with younger guys so that you can call her a cougar ? 😆
I think you are a diehard Aish fan who poses as a hater to talk abt her and get others to say nice things about her. 😁 . Orrrr...you have a crush on Abhishek and you see her as your sautan.
No pun intended but Aishwa Rai is old news. You need to find a new target. Let's bitch about the pretty women in your mohalla. I'll bring biscuits, you get the namkeen.
She's only 48. The fact that she only gets paired with older men while 50+ men get paired with barely legal 20 somethings reflects the sexism and misogyny deeply embedded in our society. I actually liked her with Ranbir in ADHM, too bad the movie itself was a dumpster fire. I'm fine with Ash being paired with younger men too.
You know, I don't care much for Ash. I always found her fake and pretentious. Beyond her stunning face, I thought she lacked natural charm and grace. But I've never felt the need to share my negative opinions about Ash, unless as part of a valid discussion. Even then, I'm learning that I need to temper my dislike with respect and civility. Just because I don't like someone doesn't mean I have the right to tear them down. Most importantly, women should be uplifting each other instead of tearing them down. That's why I'm baffled and saddened by the regular Ash diss topics.
I get it, perhaps ten years ago - I may have done it too. When any fandom has ardent followers it's fun to be a contrarian bursting bubbles. But honestly, it's not cool.

Bold: Why? Why is this mahaan duty reserved only for women? It is okay for men to tear each other down but women should be all "Let's all be BFFs and sistahs"? 🤔

So men can tear everyone down ? 😆

It has nothing to do with greatness, duty, or being BFFs. It is just pragmatism and common sense. Because we would be better off if we uplifted each other.
Women still don't have equality. Most women have to work twice as hard (or more) to get to the same place as men. Women face far more obstacles than men. Misogyny, sexual harassment, ageism, and so much more. They are under constant pressure on how they present themselves. They are expected to have it all and balance careers with family.
Women tearing each other down is just one more way society maintains the status quo of having women as second-class citizens. Most instances where women tear each other down are just ingrained misogyny.
Men can tear each other down because no matter how much they tear each other down, they still have reserved the dominant status for themselves. No matter how much fun anyone makes of fifty-year-old uncles romancing twenty-somethings - men will still continue getting those roles and most men fantasize about being that person. Bill Clinton emerged pretty much unscathed from his scandal despite impeachment but it would ruin Monica Lewinsky's career for years before she owned her own narrative. A large part of it was due to women themselves who saw Bill Clinton as a handsome charming man and Monica as the seductive other women instead of seeing it for what it was the most powerful man in the United States abusing his power to get sexual favors from a young woman he should have been mentoring.
I don't think you have to be BFFs or bend over backward to uplift other women. And I think you can still criticize and call out other women, you can critique actions and behaviors without personal attacks or commenting on their appearance. Uplifting women doesn't mean you have to tolerate women who are genuinely malicious.
Ultimately, you don't have to. You do you and what's right for you. Maybe I am crazy and have no idea what I am talking about. Maybe you have darn good reason to tear down another woman. It just doesn't make good sense to me.
