Why does Aishwarya Rai look sad all the time?

Contrary to popular belief, Ash doesn't care much about her looks. She hasn't ever bothered to hit the gym to look good. She mostly wears the same kind of makeup and barely experiments unless it's Cannes where she is under the obligation to do it for the brand she's representing. She's actually not interested in dressing up or looking good.

In this phase of her life, she's more concerned about playing the best possible mom for her daughter and nothing else. Why would she care about learning how to use Instagram when it is least of her concerns. She doesn't have to do promotional posts to earn money like a lot of her colleagues.

She's lived a difficult life in the public life for over two decades, from a very very young age. I guess she just said f*ck it, I'll do what I want, whether it's my supposed fake smile or poker face.

I never thought about it this way but what you're saying rings true ... I've never observed her paying extra attention to dressing up or looking good and is kinda old school in many ways.

I too have noticed this.From being the one to come up with a witty response in David letterman show,from being the one who donned risque outfits(was risque during those days) in dhoom 2 and one who won miss world after decades of dry spell for India,she really has become too reserved and has lost that fire in her eyes.

It's like her entire happiness depends on Aaradhya's well being.Apart from Cannes,Ash is always seen in boring outfits.

.I really miss her killer attitude and confidence.Even Ash's mother looked like as if she had a life apart from being "The Aishwarya Rai's mother".But looks like Ash as a mother is just "Aaradhya's mother".Nothing more nothing less.Actually our patriarchal society expects women to be just that.So Ash might score points among old age groups.
