everyone here clearly admits hinduism is the most open and adaptable out of all religions..then what exactly is the problem when a change is suggested...?? why to give excuse that "you dont attack other relgions" , when clearly we know they are not that tolerable as hinduism..isnt that contradictory excuse in itself..?

yes all these rituals has very noble intentions but do ppl care of the intentions or know of these noble thought process behind it ? do they treat women as Lakshmi ? pls give me a break.. bhagwaan ka naam lene se agar gals ko respect milta toh kya baat thi. 🤡 ye sab bolne mai acha lagta but we know how these rituals are being used as an excuse thesedays to look down upon women and her family

I wish for the world when the women will be really treated as Lakshmi

I don't know about all Hindus. but acc to my granny, Sindoor thing is added later in my family weddings. before it was not there.

ya why not..valid questions hai..saare rituals have patriarchy reeking through it...we are just normalised to such a world nothing else...

Wonderful thread and thanks to topic starter, you echo my thoughts fully.

We don’t realise this because there is a concerted effort to criticise n derail the basic tenets of Hinduism by misinformation as well as propaganda.

Check out Dismantling Hindutva conference held recently where every speaker said they want to dismantle Hinduism. And this conf was supported by 49+ elite US universities.

Checkout on YouTube, type Hindu and you will see only negatives of Hinduism.

Making fun and taunting Hindu traditions is shown as COOL in Bollywood. Add to this the fact that past two generations of Hindu kids aren’t even reading sacred Hindu scriptures, as it’s not important anymore. Even though every major scientist and mathematicians have given credits to Vedas/Upanishads in their major works.

Almost every Hindu festival is getting banned to celebrate but non Hindu festivals get a free hand even if it involves butchering animals or trees.

W r t Kanyadaan, if Kanya was to given as daan then why does Groom comes home with such fanfare to receive this daan and why would we have 7 vachans etc to celebrate the union?

If the Kanya was a daan , why is she even welcomed with grandeur at groom’s home?

If we understand rituals , we would know Kanya had always been a Maan in Hinduism.

Ok enough of chest thumping, don’t want Alia to think that she is trending again.

is hinduism so weak that it will be dismantled just like that ..SMH ..

ek ek karke saare rituals ko change karne se better whole marriage custom ko hi cancel karein toh better hogi na.

and Raksha bandhan where sisters tie Rakhi to brother for their well being. Karva chauth where wives fast and pray for husband's well being.

sab rituals men well being ke liye hi bane hai na.

why go to such an extreme to change everything when only a different way of thinking is being suggested ? why is everyone feeling so threatened when hinduism is way above these rituals started by humans?
