Aishwarya was average in all movies except HDDCS and Raincoat?

Yes, I feel she was average to below average in all movies except Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Raincoat. Even Devdas, I felt her performance was too hyped but in the scenes when she was crying, I really felt she was overdoing it. It didn't feel natural/effortless acting.

I look forward to her movies because she's breathtakingly beautiful but her acting makes me cringe. Does anyone else feel that way?

It was a good performance compared to her other performances, but nowhere near Academy Award level.

I think you need to re-watch the movie then to understand and appreciate the depth of her performance more.

Aish was fab in Guru,especially towards the end of the film.

She was fab in her debut film Iruvar.I liked her in kandu kondain..Tamil film with Tabu.

I always fall asleep mid-way through Devdas. It is way too long so I have only watched the first half.

I saw it in the theatre and fell asleep a couple of times lol. But my younger sister kept nudging me so I was forced to wake up and watch the movie😆

But to be fair, the movie was lavishly mounted and the aesthetics were amazing.

Ash was average even in the mentioned films. Never found her great or extraordinary in her roles and she's decent in HDDCS and Devdas.
