Aishwarya was average in all movies except HDDCS and Raincoat? - Page 2

To be honest I found her subpar in HDDCS as well. Too much moonh bichkaanaa (er making faces?).

But yes, she used to be breathtakingly beautiful, alongwith caucasian like features of fairer skin and light eyes which we desis are obsessed with.....

She's way below average usually. Most of her roles are screetchy and unbearable. In Devdas she was pretty good in some scenes and OTT otherwise. In HDDCS she was okay. . In Raincoat her dialogue delivery was pretty bad. The shrill high pitch. A good trainer could have made a difference. But her acting was quite good. I 'd call it her best performance because as a person she grew up comfortably ,came from an upper middle class background and got insanely wealthy later on. For her to have captured the and embarrassment of Neerja, the deprivation ,awkwardness about money so well is remarkable. In that sense she had potential to become a very good actress. But I think she choose the bimbo persona on purpose because its easier that way to be a commercial success.

It's interesting that she 'gets' the roles of traditional /rural, non independent women better than the urbane ones.

She is average to bad in every movie in her career. No exception for me.
