In which universe an actor whose last movie was 4 years ago and can't guarantee a 100cr lifetime collection is considered as Most demanded actor in the country, let alone the whole world? 🤣

Bhai fans should be the last people crying about PR. Salman's team whitewashed him from a criminal with multiple cases to a humanitarian with a "charity" he advertises on his tee shirts. 😆

There is much more to the world than how much money is made for 2 weeks in theaters in places like Ghatkopar. And Bhai has also had like 3 flops in a row now even there in spite of making the same safe masala remakes over and over again.

What are these actors in demand for and that too worldwide? SRK hasn't done a movie in a very long time. Are they demanding a sequel to Guddu ? He needs to release movies instead of getting featured in such nonsense lists.

They study and partner with online platforms like Netflix and also social networking sites etc.. which are then picked up by advertising companies for endorsements etc.. its not irrelevant..

It's not a nonsense list. People should read first what it is.

It's a list based on what streaming content is being most watched and discussed. It's also specifically for July 2021, I think. That's why Tom Hiddleston is on the list because Loki is a recent release and people go crazy for any Marvel content. On the US list, there are 4 or 5 Marvel actors.

The worldwide list being dominated by Indian actors is not surprising at all because American actors don't have the fan bases that Indian actors do. Priyanka had two streaming releases, White Tiger and that kiddy superhero movie just recently and she has Quantico. If 1 person watches it, that's like 50 hours of viewing. A movie would have to be watched 25 times to match up to that.

Someone like SRK isn't affected by what he releases or not currently because he has iconic movies that are constantly being rewatched. Most of the other actors would move on and off the list based on what current offering they have.

This firm has deals with many media organizations like BBC, CNN, Fox and lots of others because they all use their research. Even talent agencies like CAA have recently signed up with them. This helps them figure out what deals to sign, what kind of content really works, which actors have a draw, etc.

I understand what it is, It is BARC for OTT and I know how it works, but for SRK it is a non-sense list to be on. What is he going to achieve as an actor by getting featured on that list, If somebody is watching DDLJ on Netflix it does not mean they will automatically lap up SRK's OTT debut(or has he already made his OTT debut?). OTT debacles of many big stars are quite fresh. Even if SRK is making his debut this list won't be useful. If people are watching Dard on Star Utsav that won't mean Neena Gupta is suddenly in demand because there is a difference between 30 year old Neena Gupta and 60 year old Neena Gupta and if she is not making any new movies or shows then it becomes worse.

India has a larger population that is why Indian stars have larger fanbase but it is not worldwide it is an Indian fanbase, the same applies to US actors.

Watching something on star Utsav is different: if people are watching actors' content that has been watched several times, or are discovering it - its entirely different. Statistically show them being "on demand" as people still want to watch them. They have star power and fan base, so they will be picked for endorsements etc. Companies are not foolish to partner with these agencies to get data and numbers from them - or analyse trends as to the kind of content that is being watched.

@bold.. that's not true. I grew up Oman- UAE and BW movies are watched there too - more so than HW movies. I have seen more crazed fans that are Omanis, Emiratis and people from other gulf countries.

What are you talking about? First of all, who is watching Dard? I don't even know what that is. 🤪And for a 60 year old actress, Neena Gupta *is* in demand which is why she keeps signing one movie after another and recently even released a book. Obviously she can't be compared to Kiara Advani but for her age and space, she is doing really well.

If the same applies to US actors, why are you so hurt about Indians dominating the list that you have to be dismissive about it? Hell, they have an advantage because they create content in English which is a universal language. BW movies are watched in a lot of places outside India especially when they're available for free on streaming. That's why streamers like Netflix make overall deals with people like KJo and SRK because their content sells.

There was a recent interview with the Neflix CEO that Haseen Dilruba was in the Top 10 in 20+ countries and that's starring someone like Taapsee. You don't need to constantly put down and be dismissive about Indian movies and actors. It doesn't matter whether or not some white Karen in Bumblef*ck, Kansas is watching BW actors or not.

And if your favorite isn't there, it's okay, really. Maybe next time. It shouldn't be this upsetting for you.

At least 80% of Afghans know Hindi because of Bollywood. The craze for BW movies is next level with us. On my own instagram account, over 100 of my mutuals follow SRK’s account - and this is excluding friends that are Indian. The popularity of BW stars shouldn’t be undermined. Even in Indonesia, BW is extremely popular. I mean, it’s obvious with all the song remakes they’re blessing my youtube timeline with 🤣
