She has addressed this many times. It seems the sisters decided to share work ( read Monopoly) between themselves. Asha took up the risque ones with the ah ah ha huhhh and all that. And Lata took up the sanskaari sounding songs. But like somebody else has pointed out, that's a very superficial way of seeing it. Lata dealt with 'desire' better. Look at Lag Jaa Gale.

Asha sings well but her voice is too shrill and school girlish for her type of songs. To the point of sounding inappropriate. Its sort of like making Alka Yagnik sing Tinka Tinka from that Priyanka Chopra movie or Shreya Ghoshaal singing Dil ko Hazaar Baar Roka from Murder.

Btw all songs are horny. "Neend churayi kisine " " " Mera tan badan dolne laga " " Angdayiaan lene lagi main " ...what do you think these kind of lyrics are all about lol.

Yes, a large number of Asha's songs are sensuous. Many of her songs express female desire and lust. I think for some Indian audiences it can be jarring to have women express lust. They prefer female desire to be confined to chaste yearning. I wouldn't go as far as to say that Asha sounds horny all the time.
