Why is K3G so popular?

I genuinely want to know, what's so great about that movie?

What do you like about it?

For me, it is kinda overrated. It's a nice movie to watch once in your lifetime, and the songs can be revisited again and again, but I don't see what is so enduring and endearing about it.

The best part about the movie is the music, I feel.

I read the topic as KSG and started writing an essay about how I also don't understand why he is popular. Then I read the post and realized it's about K3G movie...

Well, I don't like the movie either!

Is it still that well liked ?

Nostalgia, meme culture, few repeatable dialogues and its song are very popular within parties and weddings. I mean who doesn't want to shake legs when you hear it's party songs.

It serves the purpose of watching a movie

There's everything in it except action, I can watch it with family and be happy after it ends

Because it has no pretense.....Its a shamelessly cheesy movie and doesn't pretend to be anything else...people like me who watch it over and over again....just need a little respite from our daily routines and need something dreamy...and that is what we get......it is that honest.....and that is the reason it is so well liked.....its like going to a chocolate store knowing that you shouldn't go there but you still go knowing that it will make you feel better after having daal chawal for the whole week...😆 I really don't know how else to explain the phenomenon that K3G is.....

For me it has an additional bonus of having my Shahrukh in it looking like a million bucks...I mean beat this...❤️

Nostalgia as people have said is the biggest one.

But a movie with SO many big names in important roles. They all looked great in the movie. Not only were they present in the movie but they all interacted with each other. It was a delight to see Amitabh-SRK, SRK-Jaya, SRK-Kajol, Hrithik-SRK, Hrithik-Amitabh, Farida-Hrithik, Hrithik-Kareena, Kareena-Kajol, etc.

A movie that showed a cute bond between brothers, an interesting relationship between a father and son, cute bond of a mother and son.

A movie with so many good songs and dialogues.

It's a classic story of "rich boy marries poor girl" but they added all the other elements to it.
