I know my posts don't come across like that, but I generally like KJo even with his nose-in-the-air behavior. But he and Ranbir admitted to spreading gossip. They also implicated Kareena. It's on KwK for everyone to see.

#metoo allegations usually don't pop up once and disappear. Has there been any other allegations about SSR like that? Not only that, the girl denied IIRC BEFORE SSR's death. So yeah, rumors. They started somewhere.

Sadly people still doubt that Sushant must have done something. It's so evident that this was a planned character assassination. The rumors started out of nowhere from a blind and after a month suddenly there is a paid Twitter trend against him, few days later the alleged Victim denies the rumors and everything dies down as quickly as it started. There was clearly someone behind it.

No producer, let alone someone as shrewd as Karan would burn crores just to get "outsiders" out of the running.. the idea that it was his intention with Drive is as ridiculous as that he did it with this movie.. this is not an Ekta Kapoor serial where the villain is willing to bear millions of losses just to overtake the hero

Sushant was never really a threat to any starkid so Karan didn't really have to plant a whole me too blind against him.. he really had nothing against Sushant.. for Karan, Sushant was just another actor who he could make fun of.. that's about it.. he didn't need to go out of his way to jeopardize Sushant's image.. Sushant's image already had taken a beating before the Metoo allegations too..

As for Kartik,it's obvious that if Karan was willing to reshoot a movie with a new actor and that too despite all the abuses hurled at him over Sushant, the matter must have been grave enough.. and this article doesn't really put Karan in a nice light so no way does it come from his PR

even if there is a breakdown between production company and actor, it is a little self serving to say "we are maintaining a dignified silence" when they put out the news to all publicists that kartik is unprofessional, dhindora peet ke bol rahe if hum chup chaap baithe hain. so annoying. I find kjo's antics funny but he really is a mean girl. and how dare anyone disagree with him, too much of a Svengali hangup

Dostana is the sequel of a pretty popular movie that did something for each of the actors. On top of that, everyone knows what the first movie was about. Even before being approached Kartik would have known that the role would be of a gay guy. It's hard to see him suddenly having second thoughts about playing that role.

While definitely not anything pathbreaking, Dostana 1 also wasn't like the useless SOTY. Being in SOTY2 types is a downgrade and only meant to be a launchpad; I can easily understand walking out of that if you get better options. Sara and the other neo betis did. Dostana 2 is still better as a choice.

There was news of re-writing of script since they can't shoot internationally in UK. Maybe the new updates didn't make sense to KA and he suggested other things, pissing off KJo. Point being, I've never heard of KJo doing anything like this to any nepo kids and they walk out of his movies all the time.

I just don't trust KJo in any way - the dignified silence is nonsense when a mass announcement was sent to everyone.

Which actor has walked out in the middle of a KJo film?

This isn't before the start of the film. They started filming in 2019 and it's been stuck reportedly at the half way mark since early 2020 because of a combination of COVID and Kartik not giving dates. To re-shoot the scenes will cost a reported 20cr.

brahamstra is a science fiction and dostana is a rom com there is no comparison whatsoever

also i am sure had sanju flopped it would have been ranbir s fault but since its a blockbuster its hiranis

because you know something not every "outsider" has to poor pure angel sometimes there can be genuine reason
