A movie is a combo of various factors, but come on the script is the base and it should be good too.There are good actors who have worked in terrible scripts which have done badly.Thats why we have directors,scriptwriters, dialogue writers.

And def there are good,bad scripts and roles,thats why we can see actors lobby hard for roles or to be a part of a movie.Getting lead roles in movies like Gunjan,Highway is an advantage just after giving below average debut performances.

Also, part of Jhanvi's problem is she doesn't simply get good scripts; she gets good scripts with costars who can act. Ishan was okayish, but Pankaj and Rajkumar? Her faults were glaring.

OTOH, they elevate those films so they have a chance of being appreciated.

Plus, Jhanvi also gets a chance to learn from them.

So good tactics, I suppose. At least, she's going out there to do the hustling instead of merely making calls to father/godfather.

Off topic, how is her name spelled? Jhanvi or Jahnavi? I believe I've seen it both ways.

I don't think a mediocre actor can be put into a film where the script is allegedly "brilliant" and the film just works. I think the actor brings something as well.
