What I don't get are the sneers. 80% (maybe more) of Indian marriages are arranged. So why is this particular couple being mocked? Shahid- Mira at least has a power differential for peeps to comment on. RK-Alia are well-matched. So why all the mockery?

yeah....RK was looking for a naazuk , young, petite, clean cut, doll, ...package with a bonus...TOP actress ta; one who has potential to topple the ones he dated already.

toh mill gaya....and i don't blame him taking aloo to home to his parents; and parents seems to love this aloo too. and for some reason i feel he wont be able to manipulate aloo too much...after all, we all know how manipulative, conniving aloo is ....she single handily stole all the big project with HUGE stars.

rahi stud ki baat....toh ranveer kaun sa stud nahi hai...i thought he was a bigger stud than RK...toh why all crying and whinning that RK is marrying aloo...not their dips.

i really don't know why RK gets so much attention here...when he gonna marry, whom he marry...blah blah...bechaare veer singh, kaushals, yada ki koi baat hi nahi karta...ki whats happening with theri love life.

Agree. Girl has acting chops and contrary to her PR image, she actually seems quite sharp.

Women like her are the dangerous kind. People can be so gullible on here depicting her as a woman-child airhead. Agree that this is a facade and she has everyone at her fingertips, including Ranbir. She knows exactly what she is doing and has manifested everything she’s wanted without getting too much public backlash. If anything Deepika and Katrina were the naïve ones.

Alia is cute and small and that comes with a lot of benefits. Ironically, it's the same thing she gets bashed for incessantly because people are obsessed with wanting BW actresses to be hot and sexy.

People judge a lot by appearances and she looks innocent and sweet and will always get the benefit of the doubt compared to women like Deepika and Katrina. Trust me, most traditional Indian families will also prefer a bride like Alia because of the image that she comes with. I'm not surprised at all that Neetu likes her so much. Contrary to popular belief here, I think RK is happy with her too. I don't think he's pining away for Kat or Deepika like their fans want him to be.

deepika was never a "victim" of ranbir s pr game who paid him back her pr was as active right from day one of their relationship as his infact her pr was more active then his

See, may not be his fault, but IIRC, their relationship was ongoing when his parents made those sneering comments to the media. Plus the KwK episode with RK and Imran. Which is all I know because I wasn't paying much attention to BW those days.

Deepika had her PR, too, but they seem to have sprung into action after.

Anyway, Kat, Mahira - the pics. It kind of becomes a pattern.

Agree no one is a saint here. I'm explaining why I feel there is animosity toward RK. He comes across as a lout partly because of his own stunts and partly because of other PR activities.

I prefer women to smack (figuratively!) any problematic SO hard, then ignore his existence. But the 4 of them seem determined to use the drama for career advantage which is very distatsteful to my ordinary, non-celeb mind.
