Movies especially biopics are about showcasing an individuals life journey within 2 hours and some mins... I believe with such conditions one needs tough acting to portray a mafia queen, one can't look soft through out the movie(unless a thriller) and be the mafia...

Haven't watched Gangs so no opinion there!

I have always thought trailers show the most powerful and interesting scenes and they help me judge a movie... never liked a movie with an unimpressive trailer... so can't trust this one as well.. but we never know... will still look out for genuine reviews

Yup will wait for the movie but the trailer did not convince me. The dialogues and the face also have a a mismatch, that is problematic for me. Only when both works in tandem would it have the same impact.

One has to feel the part and do the role with conviction, or else it would be a shoddy performance like Arjun Kapoor in Panipat, well he was not a great actor anyways. But I guess its not about the acting always because to me Shahid as Ratan also did not work, there was some mismatch, shahid is a terrific performer otherwise. Milind soman as Pant aced it in BM.

I believe it wasn't SLB's plan to cast alia in gangu. Sadly for him the Salman Alia film ran into issues and he somehow had to give her another film and it happened to be this.

There were numerous articles about PC being considered for Gangubhai.

Alia is playing sita in RRR too not sure if that is linked to mythology though.

Not you naming the JNU wali DP even after she sucked big time in her last two Bhansali outings (Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat) and the less said about Chhapaak, the better!

That and this has no connection.

I loved her in BM and Padmaavat, whatever she lacked, she more than made up with her screen presence. She looked liked she belonged to the film.

Any ways we will see what Alia has done in a few months then we can decide.

RS was lot more appreciated for his portrayal of Bajirao Post Panipat. You can see that in the comments section of BM and Panipat videos.

When RS did it although he was appreciated a lot of people thought it wasn't anything big, but Panipat really showed the difference.

DUH!!!! I mean of course you liked her lackluster turns in BM and Padmaavat Like it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out

And what 'screen presence'? PC totally wiped the floor with her in BM despite her Kashibai not being the focal point of the movie and even in Padmaavat, Aditi Rao Hydari not only made more impact with her limited role but she even looked far more regal and divine than the so-called unibrowed Rani Sa

And yet you have the audacity to say that she looked like she belonged to both films?
