Yes I so wish they had done auditions for the role... Prabhas and Sunny are good for the roles they are playing but what on Earth made them think Kriti was suitable to play Seeta?? I just do not get it. 🤓... I feel if they had to cast a known face then it should have been Manushi (going purely by looks/vibe)

Anushka Shetty would’ve been apt to play Sita. Oh well!

They could have gone for unkown faces as well I guess it would have been better because Ramayan doesn't need superstars to work on box office. It's a big budget epic and people will watch it if it promises them extraordinary cinematic experience.. I always wanted Bollywood to adopt Indian mythologies so I can watch them on big screen with better vfx and cinematography and would watch it even if they cast completely new faces.

Exactly! They are going to use a ton of CGI anyways. Kriti with her average acting will make it a drag while Anushka has the acting chops which are required for a central role like Sita.

I have mixed feelings about Kriti. though she was arguably good in both Luka Chuppi and Bareilly ki Barfi, on the other hand she's pretty average in all her other ventures. She's not very exciting in terms of screen presence, looks, or talent. She's just the sort of actress who will always hover over greatness, but never reach there.
