Was Govinda A Star In 90's like Khans?

i have watched Maharaja quite recently ...so thought of asking what was govinda position in the 90's

I love his comic timing and his massy numbers...he's also a fab dancer

Govinda had a great phase, and he was a star on par, in the long run. Unfortunately, it was only with one director David Dhawan. Nothing worked for him besides his combo with DD, though.

This was one of greatest songs I’ve ever heard

The Khans rose to fame in the 90s.

The 80s was already rolling with six major actors, who took the 80s into the 90s and gave the Khans a tough competition. Remove these six actors and you are left with only the Khans, and some other insignificant actors, which, in my opinion, is disastrous.

Of course there were well-known actors who were launched in the 90s, such as the macho trio (Akshay, Ajay, Sunil), Akhsaye Khanna, Avinash Wadhwan, Prithvi, Ayoub Khab, Saif Ali Khan, etc., but none of these stood out against the three Khans or the below six 80s-into-90s superstars!

So, yes, Govinda was definitely a hit actor and a star of the 90s.

He was a money-minting machine for his producers and directors, especially David Dhawan.
