Why is piku in the list?

Chhapak should have been a better option

Inspiring for all the wrong reasons but inspiring none the less. I still can't believe how she nonchalantly chucked that nosy old woman over the balcony.

That movie was an unexpected rollercoaster ride from Bollywood.

Sehmat wasn't exactly pressured but in the movie it was definitely presented as if she didn't have much of a choice, (and it was implied that if she did have one she probably wouldn't have chosen this path), as many in this thread have pointed out...

Though I do agree that her crying or having moments of regret (if "mujhe ghar jaana hai" wasn't regret then idk what is) doesn't make her less inspiring in my view either, I do remember the author of the book giving interviews saying a lot of things were changed in the film, and Sehmat basically wasn't as unsure of herself as portrayed in the film, so I was just going by what he said.

Nowhere in the movie is this implied that she had no choice or she would have taken a different path

No that mujhe ghar jaana hai was not a regret her work there was almost over that scene was just to show all the trauma. And i have read the books. The book sehmat was as destroyed by the end of it as in the movie

The only difference from book to movie are they excluded a character but the story flows without him as well so not problem. In books there is more focus on her parents s life before she was born and how her father became a spy for government and also more focus on sehmat s college life. That s it. Rest movie did a good job of following the boom

I don't really know much about the book, was just going off what the writer was saying recently...
