You are going wayward than reality of 90's.

Aamir could easily play the roles of those actors.

The only thing I'd like to add is - the thing about social media... if you look closely at the situation, I see it in a slightly alternate lense.

Even before a "star kid" has made an announcement that they intend to become an actress/actor, FANS OF THEIR PARENTS will create FAN PAGES for the star kids. Look at Taimur for example. And Saif's other kids. If you look at their journeys, they were being OBSESSED OVER by fans of Saif and Kareena and even non-fans who found them cute/pretty.

In this climate, it is HARD for a producer to NOT give them films on a platter. Look at it: you have a ready made/highly saleable NEWCOMER with a fan following already under their belt. Why would you not sign them?

Same for journalists and paparazzi - why would they chase an upcoming newcomer who is an outsider? There's no storyline or "purpose", but oh look there's Sridevi's daughter coming out of a gym RUUUN.

Journos will write about them, because there is a market for them, created by us the audience. And in turn they get more fame and more followers and of course, more haters.

It's a cycle and I don't know how to fix it. But we have to accept it. It's not just a one-way thing. WE THE AUDIENCE ARE RESPOSIBLE in many ways for contributing to and harvesting an environment where nepotism exists and persists.

Yes but more than public interest it's their smartly curated PR and them having contacts with other Bwood stars help them get noticed by their fans. Look at Shanaya Kapoor for example. It's such a shame because I am pretty sure if other outsiders could have that kind of visibility they would have been justvas famous or even more.. Sanya Malhotra insta is a gem.. She is not only adorable but exceptionally funny as well.

How will audience get to know them if media is not interested from starting.

And it’s not working. Because we have bad to average outsider actors too who are mega stars today and good to super talented insiders who are out of the business or on their way out. This whole debate is so useless. 😆

For people who are dismissing the debate, I would like to say that there is huge merit in the insider vs. outsider contention. I think some of us are confusing the fact that there's no clearcut correlation between stardom and nepotism with dismissing the nepotism benefits.

Believe me when I say the media would do ANYTHING for clicks.

Star-kids get 1000x more clicks than outsiders.

Sanya Malhotra is my favourite out of all the new girls, her talent and beauty and humility blow my mind. But Khushi Kapoor and Suhana Khan hanging out with their friends will get 1000s more clicks than anything Sanya does on her Instagram.

The PR agencies come into the equation much later. The public CREATE these fame monsters. It's as simple as that. But we don't seem to want to take the credit/blame.

[side note: as a rule I have never shared a photo of Taimur or any star-baby. I rarely clicked on a photo by a paparazzi of someone coming out of a gym and certainly never shared such a pic if I came across it. I know how the game works. I don't want to contribute to it. I know one person doing this versus 1000s clicking will make zero difference but it's my personal choice]

in ladies it was madhuri and sridev who ruled roost

amir was not a big star in 90s o one would say lets go watch a mair film

even salman had not much pull in 90s with audience except few movies were family movies

it was like madhuri is there lets go to hum aapke hain kaun etc

i know what i am speaking very well till lagaan amir was not truly considered a great actor or his movies great

so do not try to prove what was not it was srk and than salman who got first preference from audience in 90s in khans

in non khans it was sunny deol and govinda movies that all went to in theatre

than only amir, ajay, akshay i know that for a fact

like qayamat se qayaat tak ppl went for juhi chawla and dil for madhuri, amir had no box office pull that ppl will go theatre to watch him ok for hum hai rahi pyar ke again juhi and mahesh bhat was reason to watch movie. So i know whose super star even if movie not good would get 100% opening thats only srk, sunny, govinda and rarely salman. In girls its madhuri and sridevi who got 100% irrespective how bad movie was in 90s. ajay and akshay were minor stars in 90s only 2005 onwards they became huge stars. salman, akshay and ajay were more known for their affairs ad controversy than any acting or super stardom in 90s. ajtya had zakhm and najayaaz movie where his acting was praised or all his movies require no actig anyone can do it same for many other heros
