Yess...Lovely singh is too kind hearted and Divya, I would have doubt in young Divya but after decade, she wasn't forgetting him and was willing to go with him despite his kid means she must love him a lot. So, yes.

But for Lovely, it would be hard for sure. Thinking his he married his love and she died and now, suddenly knowing all that was a lie, huge blow.

Except 14 and 15 everyone would have survived.

14 is obvious. Its very difficult personalities. One is too outgoing and lively, other one is boring but serious. Tanu is prone to cheating on Manu.

15. Their relationship looks too materialistic. Esp Kareena's character. She would have got bored later into relationship. Hrithik's character was mature to be someone stable and loyal.

1. Rahul and Anjali (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai) - Yes. They both got what they wanted. Anjali got Rahul, and Rahul got someone who looked good in a wet sari.

2. Bunny and Naina (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani). No. Too diff.

3. Sid and Ayesha (Wake Up Sid). Maybe not. He would've grown up and moved on.

4. Vanraj and Nandini (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam). Yes. Arranged marriage couple who would never dream of divorce.

5. Arjun and Laila (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara). Not if they have kids. With responsibility would come the need to revert to a stable lifestyle which Laila clearly didn't want and Arjun would've pushed for.

6. Kabir and Preeti (Kabir Singh). Yes. Toxic couple, but they were pleased with each other's toxicity.

7. Ved and Tara (Tamasha). No. Mental health is not as easily fixed, and Tara would've been pushed away yet again.

8. Kabir and Farah (Dil Dhadakne Do). Not sure. They were the new adult couple with no firm goals. They could grow together or grow apart.

9. Vikram and Mili (Khoobsurat). Yes. She was annoying, but the house was big enough for them to avoid each other if needed.

10. Raj and Pooja (Mujhse Dosti Karoge). Not seen the movie.

11. Chirag and Bitti (Bareilly Ki Barfi). Yes. The whole film was about Chirag's growth, and he grew to fit her needs.

12. Dev and Maya (Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna). Yes. They would've been miserbale with each other ever after.

13. Surinder and Taani (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi). Yes. They would've done some cosplay perhaps to keep things fresh.😆

14. Manu and Tanu (Tanu Weds Manu). Not seen the movie.

15. Rohan and Pooja (K3G). Yes... where would Pooja go for financial support if she divorced?

16. Jai and Aditi (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na). Not seen the movie.

17. Prem and Poonam (Vivah). Not seen the movie, but Suraj Barjatya heroines are not the divorce type.

18. Veer and Zoe (Love Aaj Kal 2). Not seen the movie.

19. Rahul and Kamini (Salaam-E-Ishq). I did watch the movie but don't remember.😆

20. Aman and Kartik (Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan). Yes. They were a nicely balanced couple.

Eventually she'd be unhappy and Bunny would be frustrated with that kind of behaviour and responsibility because it does seem like travel is what genuinely ignites all the cells in his body. This is a classic case of love isn't enough imo :/

6. Kabir and Preeti (Kabir Singh) - Pretty sure it will work. These two seem so passionate about each other that it's hard to tell if the usual "passion fizzes out after marriage" will happen smiley36 It's their personalities themselves. They might break up several times but they'll end up patching up again because they're obsessed with each other. In fact I feel like they'll actually need break-ups for their relationship to work. And they seem very capable of initiating them. Toxicity galore 👀

12. Dev and Maya (Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna) - Idk if I'm the only one but I feel like the idea of forbidden love ignited this bond more than anything else. I feel like things will fizz out once they start living with each other. No to this one.

I love your notes so much. I agree with these 3 the most.

I feel like if Bunny and Naina were a real life couple they would fizzle out very fast. It's not that they are different people, but they are passionately different people. Bunny's passion is seeking thrills in life, traveling. I honestly can't imagine someone like that giving it all up. Not saying those people can't have fulfilling life with partners but they usually find partners who are similar in life ideology. Also your passion is not something you do for a while and then you are like well I did all there was to do and now I am done. Your passion is who you are. So for so long of Bunny's life if this passion of his is not who he was then I expect him to have an existential crisis. Future of Bunny is Tamasha. Also Naina is a doctor. I don't know about Indian doctors, but don't they usually have very busy schedules? Bunny gave up all his passion to settle down with the person who might not even have that much time for him.

You were so spot on with Kabir and Preeti. I have been in a toxic relationship like that before and I swear you need the drama to survive.

With Dev and Maya I feel like they both had a lot of guilt from their affair. I don't see that going away despite being forgiven. More important than that they are both quite miserable people. KJO is stupid and doesn't understand that if you yourself are miserable, then no partner in the world can actually make you happy. So he wrote that these two miserable folks are somehow only happy with each other. But that won't last. They are also toxic, Dev especially.

But based on what you know of the characters, of their 'depth' and of whatever you could grasp of their basic nature, do you think that these couples would have survived? And I'd love to know why you think the way you do :)

Here's the list :

1. Rahul and Anjali (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai) :they will love each other, but imagine K3J post leap Rahul and Anjali with taunts about looks

2. Bunny and Naina (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani) :no, i just cant explain, but no

3. Sid and Ayesha (Wake Up Sid): yes, both will find the balance to not rip off each other's head

4. Vanraj and Nandini (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam): yes, but at a point of time things ma get sour

5. Arjun and Laila (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara): yes

6. Kabir and Preeti (Kabir Singh): yes, you think Kabir will let go?

8. Kabir and Farah (Dil Dhadakne Do): even if its a yes, I think they would go separate ways

9. Vikram and Mili (Khoobsurat): no

11. Chirag and Bitti (Bareilly Ki Barfi): yes, RR's character iwll be their marriage counsellor

20. Aman and Kartik (Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan): yes, the whole family will kill Kartik if he dares think of leaving Aman and he will throw himself off a bridge if he thinks of such things himself

didn't answer for all couples, just some that I liked and vibed with in the list

1. Rahul and Anjali (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai) - Yes, because their relationship was built on friendship, and they were best friends once upon a time. I do think they would eventually build a relationship of trust and respect.

2. Bunny and Naina (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani) - No because his priorities were elsewhere. He didn't like to be confined, and she seemed like someone who wanted stability. Also I don't think they really knew each other well.

3. Sid and Ayesha (Wake Up Sid) - YES YES YES. They were compatible in every way & even though different, the differences worked so well. They both brought each other into their own worlds, and were able to create one, even when they were not officially together.

4. Vanraj and Nandini (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam) - I do think they would have lasted, but there will always be the question of whether she could be happier if she was with Sameer.

5. Arjun and Laila (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara) - Yes, and No (not sure). Yes, because she was the much needed change he needed. Chemistry was fire as well. No, because they are both free spirits in different ways & I wondered much about their future together.. they never really discussed anything

6. Kabir and Preeti (Kabir Singh) - No, they're too volatile & would do severe damage to each other (both physically & emotionally)

7. Ved and Tara (Tamasha) - No. She wasn't ready for him. And he wasn't ready for her.

8. Kabir and Farah (Dil Dhadakne Do) - No. I think they would have a relationship for a while, & break up thereafter. A lot of chemistry but little substance.

9. Vikram and Mili (Khoobsurat) - Yes, because Vikram seemed like the kind of guy who would take a backseat in the relationship & let Milli do whatever she wanted to do.

10. Raj and Pooja (Mujhse Dosti Karoge) - Can't remember their dynamic & this movie much.

12. Dev and Maya (Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna) - Can't remember their relationship much except that I didn't see why they fell for each other.

13. Surinder and Taani (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi) - Yes they seemed like simple people who didn't want much from life and each other. They didn't strive for more beyond ordinary happiness & mundanity.

14. Manu and Tanu (Tanu Weds Manu) - Can't remember their dynamic & this movie much.

15. Rohan and Pooja (K3G) - Totally because even though Rohan became a hunk, he was still a dork at heart, and she despite being a diva, was not too overbearing / controlling. Rohan seemed like he would be a henpecked husband to her, and she would tease him all his life. They'd have a fun relationship.

16. Jai and Aditi (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na) - Yes because their relationship was built on friendship and trust. They would be able to discuss everything and sort out issues.

17. Prem and Poonam (Vivah) - Yes because they had similar values, principles & seemed to want the same thing from life & each other. They were a little too perfectly compatible.
