Someone should make one!
But of course certain people (who most likely had no issues with Masti, Thank You, No Entry, Pati Patni aur Woh etc. ) will kick up a big fat moral panic around it 😊.

Infidelity is very common and open secret in India that it is regarded comedy in movies
Where was any infidelity in Jab We Met or Kuch Na Kaho?? And in Namaste London the Jazz was forced into marriage with Arjun long after she began dating her ex...
Only TWM (somewhat) fits the criteria

In Jab We Met, Geet was stringing along Anshuman after she reunited with him and she was trying to set up Shahid's character with her cousin first. Her family set her up with Manjeet. Kuch Na Kaho doesn't really count I guess, since Aish's character was seperated.

Geet never cheated on Anshuman, with Aditya or anyone else... she was never in a relationship with Manjeet at all (he was a family friend she hadn't met in years), and she never actually got together with Aditya until the very end...
And yeah Aish was divorced and her husband had since re married in KNK

There have been female infidelities in comedy movies. But I bet, none of them had the adulterous woman as the lead heroine. The cheating women are usually shown as side characters who are meant to be there for laughs and vulgar jokes and are portrayed to be of poor character who are good only as vamps, or undesirable aunties.
On the other hand there have been countless films where the lead heroes have been shown to cheat on their wives and in this case the guy is either painted as a bichara and victim of circumstances or a cool playboy who all girls love and guys want to emulate.
So true. I've been trying to think hard for a comedy with infidelity by the leading lady. But nada. As you said - it's always a side character for cheap laughs.
For some reason, the cheating man is a source of comedy. We are supposed to laugh at his antics and forgive him in the end. But if a woman cheats, my oh my, the world is collapsing into a pool of tears. There was a small part of me that hoped that the remake of "Pati, Patni, Aur Woh" would modernize it with a take on female infidelity.
To be honest, even in western movies, I am hard-pressed to find comedies about women cheating where it is forgiven/accepted in the end. The only one I can think of is "Imagine Me & You." Maybe Swedish "Kyss Mig." I guess you could count Carol in Friends too (but she's a side character). But that brings me to - why are all cheating women gay? 😳

Can never forget how badly it was done in Biwi No. 1. The guy didn't even cry properly before the wife came running to him. But maybe it's just Salman, IDK.
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi
Technically she of course isn't since he's her husband. But she didn't know that - so morally she's guilty but still gets her happily ever after.
Seem 'Mirch' went largely unnoticed..
