Tina because please that Hrithik Kareena chemistry ❤️ Otherwise Raj was trash. Tina was the victim who got played by both.
I hated Pooja because she manipulated both of them. She also had no pride apparently. Girl, he didn't care about writing letters to you all his life while you were also his friend. He spent his whole life obsessing over Tina. How could you pretend to be her for so long? You could've easily sent him emails under your name. Deep down you must've known he didn't want you, he wanted Tina. Which is why it is so gross. When Raj saw Tina he was instantly attracted to her and completely ignored Pooja. He thought she was the prettiest girl. Here is the thing, Kareena and Rani's beauty are not so far apart. I would understand if Tina was played by Katrina Kaif and Pooja was played by Konkona Sen. Yes then objectively one is so much more attractive than the other so I understand the instant pull. His love was supposed to take him to the right beautiful girl and it surely didn't take him to her. So much for instinct or souls recognizing each other. Their love story was bs. They were both shitty friends and it didn't even look like there was genuine love from anyone's side.

In no way imaginable was Tina the victim.
Raj recognized Tina at the station because he already knew them as children. Not because he was recognizing his soul mate or he was more hot for Tina. Pooja was an idiot for thinking that's what it meant and handing him over to Tina who didn't give an bleep about him for 15 years if ever.
They were eight years old when they wrote to each other. It was puppy love for Tina for which she was obviously not worthy. Pooja should have told him the truth but Raj fell in love with Pooja over 15 years. Not Tina. Tina was just a name. And Tina was willing to profit off those 15 years of feelings for someone else because he was hot and later because it meant a secure marriage to a rich handsome guy . If she actually believed he had these big feelings for her irrespective of the letters she wouldn't have waited until months later, the day before the wedding to confess.
Tina was a self absorbed user and Pooja had low self esteem who at first felt Tina was more worthy of love and then later that her happiness - and Raj's was worth less than Tina's.
During the Medley (which is fantastic) when Raj and Pooja are in the rain (sizzling hot) - and all their mouths are agape watching and yet still everyone thinks it's sane to go with the weddings.
Why? Why? Why? Why?
No one did anything proactive or intelligent. It was all solved by a physical accident and finding bracelets.
This entire movie was ridiculous. 😆
Exactly. I loved that movie review - "Kumkum girne ka koi na koi meaning zaroor hoga." 😆
On topic, Pooja!
The movie was cheesy and outright ridiculous at certain points, but I love it anyway.
Tina is stupid and brainless. And super ott. Kareena’s acting sucks to infinity. Raj kya Rohan, mohan, sab bhag jayenge.
They did Tina dirty. Granted, Tina + Pooja did him dirty first, but what they did afterwards was really shitty.

I believe when Pooja began writing those letters to him, they were kids and were just friends. Raj wanted Tina to be in touch with him and write those letters, yes. But when Pooja chided Tina saying, why isn't she writing back to Raj after giving him the word that she'll stay in touch, Tina scoffed Raj's efforts away. Pooja would again tell Tina that Raj was being so sweet and Tina was being mean. But Tina really wasn't interested in remaining friends with Raj or she just was lazy.
So I believe Pooja intervening and writing the letters on Tina's behalf, was purely for Raj's sake so he doesn't feel disappointed. She had a certain affection for him (since Raj was both a friend to her, and she had a childhood crush on him) and thus, wanted to keep his heart. She didn't write her name there yes, cause she knew Raj wanted to keep in touch with Tina. Little would she have thought, that Raj would continue writing to whom he thought as Tina, for all those rest of the years. Little did she think that he would feel romantically inclined towards the girl he was writing to (who was to say, Pooja could have thought that Raj could have found another girl in London and dropped writing the mails?) Little did she think that, he might even return to Shimla with his family for a visit, when he hadn't in so many years. What she did by intervening on Tina's behalf and writing those mails, was a temporary redressing to ensure Raj wasn't disappointed. Little did she think, that will grow into something this big and serious. So she was comfortable keeping her identity as a secret, as Pooja was always comfortable remaining in the shadows due to the lack of self esteem.
Now that she heard news of Raj coming back and that he was thinking quite romantically of himself and his mail buddy..this is where I think Pooja should have spilled the beans to him and told him the truth. I guess the lack of confidence prevented her from doing that again. And when she realized Raj was attracted to Tina and they got on quite fine, she retreated..knowing he was always out of her league. But Raj being Raj, picked up on the inconsistencies between Tina and the mails..not surprisingly. But I don't think Pooja's intention was to manipulate anyone. Her actions stemmed from a loving heart, but ofcourse even the best of people are not perfect. We may all intend the best for our loved ones, but may make mistakes (lack of judgement, insecurities and what not).

😆 Maybe? I interpret the movie differently. Pooja tells him we will see if you recognize me. He literally says "I don't need an image because your image is in my heart. You must be so beautiful I am sure. Like our childhood you must still be the prettiest, still the most beautiful, you must be." He walks over to both girls, completely ignores Pooja who he actually passes to get to Tina (so much for image in my heart and instantly recognizing her like the the Raj voiceover reminds us in the scene) and he says "You are even more beautiful than I'd imagined." Pooja walks back to Tina to be within Raj's vision and he still can't see anyone but Tina. When he finally notices Pooja's existence he says "wow you have grown so much as well, but Tina would've grown up like this I never imagined," basically announcing to the world he is thirsting for Tina and Pooja's beauty didn't compare.
Tina is a victim to me because her best friend impersonated her for years without her permission. Forget everything that itself makes her a victim. Then Pooja literally emotionally blackmails Tina into pretending she wrote those letters when Tina refused to do it. Tina agreed to play along for two weeks. She had no idea her friend who pretended to be her and was okay with her romancing Raj had feelings for him herself. Raj also acted like everything in the world was about winning Tina over, so many songs and grand gestures. She genuinely fell for him being oblivious to everything else. So if there was a victim in the movie, it was her. Then Raj because he got played too. Anyone but Pooja who basically twisted everything and made all the calls from the beginning. She had so many chances to be honest.

totally agree 👍🏼
Pooja's was a looser. First, she used Tina's name to get the attention from Raj that she would otherwise never get, and then forced her to lie to him when he came back. Even after learning that Raj loved her, she still didn't tell Tina that they love each other until Tina finally noticed it herself and stopped the wedding.
Tina because oh Kareena-Hrithik are like a match made in heaven❤️
I always looked at the movie through the lens of a Hritheena fan. So for me, the story is secondary and Hrithik-Kareena scenes were too precious
OK but if I keep that aside for a moment, probably Pooja because she loved him in a true, unconditional way...
