Even before he gets to know it was Pooja who was writing those mails, he did develop an attachment with Pooja. He always felt something was off when he was with Tina, and felt at home with Pooja. Even in London, he remembers Pooja instead of Tina. My problem is that he did not feel even a bit guilty about ditching Tina at the drop of a hat in that church scene. The movie was weird in that and many other aspects, and that bugs me coz it had the potential to be a really good movie.

Nevertheless, it is my guilty pleasure lol. 😆

I think it all boils down to individual perspectives.. While I cannot deny that Raj had those occasional bouts of soft feelings for Pooja, they were not strong enough, at least for me, to label it as love. The feelings came pouring in upon the accidental discovery of Pooja being the writer of those letters/composer of that tune during their visit to the church. All that guilt tripping that followed (how Pooja kept yapping and blaming Raj for falling for Tina's appearance without giving an iota of thought that even plain Jane like her could be writing those letters). Pooja conveniently shifted all the blame on Raj while exonerating herself from the blame of her own silence, her willful decision to pass on Tina as the writer of those letters thereby leading on Raj in full faculty of her senses.

So,

Raj was in idea of loving the one who had been writing to him. He seemingly loved Tina under that misconception and later moved on to love Pooja for the same reason. Raj wouldn't have thought twice before ditching Pooja too had it been someone else who had been writing those letters..

I did feel bad for Tina too. Firstly, she was kept in dark by her best friend about the whole letter fiasco, until Raj landed in India. Later the guy she loved replaced her with her best friend.

Pooja has both self-esteem and trust issues. She was a master manipulator as well.

Pooja would have always been a manipulative one in that relationship.

@ Bold : High five on that... It is silly, it is inane but I still watch it when ever it airs on television..🤣

Tina because please that Hrithik Kareena chemistry ❤️ Otherwise Raj was trash. Tina was the victim who got played by both.

I hated Pooja because she manipulated both of them. She also had no pride apparently. Girl, he didn't care about writing letters to you all his life while you were also his friend. He spent his whole life obsessing over Tina. How could you pretend to be her for so long? You could've easily sent him emails under your name. Deep down you must've known he didn't want you, he wanted Tina. Which is why it is so gross. When Raj saw Tina he was instantly attracted to her and completely ignored Pooja. He thought she was the prettiest girl. Here is the thing, Kareena and Rani's beauty are not so far apart. I would understand if Tina was played by Katrina Kaif and Pooja was played by Konkona Sen. Yes then objectively one is so much more attractive than the other so I understand the instant pull. His love was supposed to take him to the right beautiful girl and it surely didn't take him to her. So much for instinct or souls recognizing each other. Their love story was bs. They were both shitty friends and it didn't even look like there was genuine love from anyone's side.

THIS! I have felt this my whole life. I thought I was the only one who felt that chemistry between Hrithik Kareena in this movie. I think partly the movie didn't do well because Hrithik ends up with Rani and people were not used to their pairing.

😆 Maybe? I interpret the movie differently. Pooja tells him we will see if you recognize me. He literally says "I don't need an image because your image is in my heart. You must be so beautiful I am sure. Like our childhood you must still be the prettiest, still the most beautiful, you must be." He walks over to both girls, completely ignores Pooja who he actually passes to get to Tina (so much for image in my heart and instantly recognizing her like the the Raj voiceover reminds us in the scene) and he says "You are even more beautiful than I'd imagined." Pooja walks back to Tina to be within Raj's vision and he still can't see anyone but Tina. When he finally notices Pooja's existence he says "wow you have grown so much as well, but Tina would've grown up like this I never imagined," basically announcing to the world he is thirsting for Tina and Pooja's beauty didn't compare.

Tina is a victim to me because her best friend impersonated her for years without her permission. Forget everything that itself makes her a victim. Then Pooja literally emotionally blackmails Tina into pretending she wrote those letters when Tina refused to do it. Tina agreed to play along for two weeks. She had no idea her friend who pretended to be her and was okay with her romancing Raj had feelings for him herself. Raj also acted like everything in the world was about winning Tina over, so many songs and grand gestures. She genuinely fell for him being oblivious to everything else. So if there was a victim in the movie, it was her. Then Raj because he got played too. Anyone but Pooja who basically twisted everything and made all the calls from the beginning. She had so many chances to be honest.

THIS. This is exactly how I interpreted it as well.

After having seen this movie an un-godly number of times, I realized it's Tina who wins my sympathies because that poor girl was horribly played by her so-called best friends from the very beginning to the complete end. She didn't even want to go along with Pooja's scheme but was literally forced into it. Pooja literally ends up being the master emotional manipulator is all of this...all because she has zero self confidence, like girl why don't you focus on some self love for a minute instead of going around playing with everyone's emotions because you don't think you're hot enough? Raj gets played too but in the second half they're both insufferable a-holes who both somehow think it's okay to continue to mess with Tina's feelings and marry her out of pity. If I was Tina I would cut them both out of my lives forever lol.

😆😆 I am seriously laughing because obviously it is not a good movie right. But I have seen this movie so, so, so many times. I didn't know someone else also watched it that many times.

Seems like this movie is most of our favorite even though it wasn’t a box office success. I have seen this movie a million times and this is one of those rare movies where each and every song was beautiful. Also, yes Hrithik’s and Kareena’s chemistry was lit, I think they looked their cutest in yaadein.

Pooja catfished Raj for such a long time. Honestly thats very creepy. Tina later should not have lied to Raj just bcz Pooja wanted her to but I guess she liked the attention. I didnt ever understand how Tina was ready to marry Raj without clearing the whole email thing. Like thats the foundation n reason why he loves you,you think you should just lie about that when u r about to get married? Raj becane a pathetic liar too in the second half. Most of all it was Pooja who was such a master manipulator

None but if I had to I’d choose Tina. Firstly Raj was a confused soul. They started off showing he seems to be attached to Tina more than Pooja & he later just falls in love with Pooja cuz she wrote all that letters to him. I mean I wonder if there was any genuine love here. Tina atleast grew really fond of him after spending time with him. I’d just give her that benefit of doubt. Overall it was a shitty movie. I’d prefer yaadein over this 😛
