There are many reasons

1) Which is last hindi movie entire india remembers be it south, east, west and north - Sholay, Mughal e azam etc so one is 45 year old another 60 year old movie

2) when is last hero which entire india know north south east west and rural - amitabh bachchan and dilip kumar and rajesh khanna now i think its prabhas after bahubhali

OK many do not know who SRK, salman, amir is in south or east etc villages

3) who is last heroine known everywhere - madhuri dixit and sridevi and hema malini (after madhubala, nargis, meena kumari)

4) which is a movie that has recall movie after 40 to 50 years with everyone - sholay and mughal e azam are only two movies

So now you know why no hindi movies not there list - because its more than 50 years since a pan india actor came n bollywood after amitabh bachchan

Population in 1950: 387 Million

Population 1975: 623 Million

Population now: 1.398 BILLION

It's harder to penetrate the households of 750m to 1 billion more people but I'm pretty sure more people know recent and current superstars than those from the 50s to the 70s - that's just math. AB's popularity has lasted in part so strongly because he is also still active - in film and TV. The advent of widespread TV and now streaming has increased the popularity of film stars while at the same time creating popularity of TV stars. The immensity of the Indian population and the lack of theaters in many areas makes it impossible for theatrically run films to target let alone appeal to a majority of the Indian population. It's why regional theatrical thrives. Still, as of now Hindi is by far the largest and most widespread film industry in India as one can see from the top charts.

Sahoo is a Telugu movie.

Telugu/Tamil industry doesn't want to enter Bollywood, they want to enter BW's market. i. e. they aren't looking to want to work in bollywood, they want to lure the Hindi speaking audience. Big difference.

prabhas never wanted to be hindi movie star . Like I said before it’s market they want if the movie has a potential. Schoo is Telugu original .

where is this list from because I am curious to see except for these 3 movies what does top 10 look like? Or top 20. From what I understand Baahubali was rare and one of a kind. We all know why a bollywood movie hasn't surpassed it in India. 2.0 is pretty much an anomaly as well. I bet the rest of the movies are Bollywood movies so therefore they do dominate Indian box office. There is no industry that dominates box office like Bollywood

Wow T4S that doesn’t scream that Bollywood has a lot to worry about. An that’s not me looking down at other industries that’s literally the numbers. 😆

Thank you. That screams Bollywood domination to me. I don't know how much more Bollywood could dominate the box office
