I've read the novel by Paula Hawkins and it's a personal favourite. The characters are layered, full of intrigue, and have potential for multiple interpretations.

Some of the reasons why I am looking forward to it --

1. Parineeti's comeback vehicle - I've always rooted for Parineeti and find her a gifted actor. This might be her chance to get back into the game.

2. Avinash Tiwary in a mainstream BW movie - Love this guy, he's so talented. This might be his chance to get noticed by the who's who of Bollywood.

3. Kirti Kulhari and Aditi Rao Hydari in supporting roles - Kirti especially has great acting chops.

Here is the trailer of the original film for those who've missed out on it --

No because the original source material sucks big time! And because of that, even Emily Blunt was unable to pull off such a complex role in the Hollywood version. So yeah, not expecting anything better from the BW version either.

I have seen the 2016 film and I loved it. I love Emily Blunt. She was wonderful.

Parineeti is blah. But I am going to watch this remake only for one person and that is Kirti Kulhari. I have become her fan after watching her spectacular performance in the second season of Criminal Justice. I loved her in Uri, Shaitan and Pink as well. But here, she was just out of the world. She deserves much more appreciation in Bollywood. Her look in this remake is amazing as well.

I liked the trailer. I think Parineeti has a lot of potential but waster herself with shitty movie choices. I hope that this is well executed and revives her career. But the plot is complex and layered. If the execution is even slightly off - it will be another shitty movie on her resume.

I'm totally looking forward to the film. I would rather compare this Bollywood version to the original novel rather than the Hollywood one since it's mainly based on the book. To be honest I think Parineeti suits the role better than Emily, coz in the book description the protagonist is supposed to be a little overweight and ordinary looking which goes well with Parineeti. Emily was skinny and attractive, which didn't really fit well with the description.

I liked the trailer. She might get back to her good old acting days with this one. Looking forward to it definitely.
