There is a huge glitch in ur statement. Most star kids are so used to getting it all so easy that you can see the only effort put in are lakhs of rupees for plastic surgery/enhancements, workouts, grooming. Acting (the most important thing) takes a backseat. Then they sign these great films which would do well with or without them and start thinking they've made it big. No, their career is too well crafted and there's a legit lack of effort from their end. They get films based on their surnames and families.
From the three examples you gave:
Hrithik worked very very hard, with his speech, dancing, workouts and he could act very well. He worked to become the overall package and did masala and content oriented films...succeeding as a performer in both.
Aamir found his niche much later after a dream opportunity like QSQT, but again he worked very hard. Post 90s he was super selective and put in his 100% to be as perfect for the roles as possible. He could at brilliantly too.
Salman is a good actor. Watching his earlier films makes me feel that had they not bombed he would be known for his performances. Unfortunately people accepted him as a masala hero where he didn't have to act much, just do action...then he stuck to that genre, got repetitive and the same people called him lazy.
So these three are exceptions coz they were hardworkers when they had started out. They still are...Salman unfortunately had to change his genre but imo he is good performer, he never got accepted in those kinda films so he doesn't do them anymore.
