In Drishyam, when it's shown that Vijay had actually buried Sam's dead body under the floor of under construction police station!

In Special 26 when it's shown that Ranveer Singh (Jimmy Sheirgill) wasn't actually a police officer and was an accomplice of the fake CBI Akshay team!

In a Wednesday , right till the end, it appears that Naseeruddin Shah is a terrorist who has threatened to bomb the city if four terrorists aren’t released.

Fingersmith/Handmaiden has the best plot twists in literature and cinema. The first plot twist is like damn, that's cold. And then the second plot twist is like hot damn, that's diabolical.

No one saw "I am your father" coming in Star Wars. Also a moment of silence for all Luke and Leia shippers who never saw that coming and are forever doomed to be the twincest shippers.

You have asked about the plot twists one didn't see coming, but may I mention the one plot twist that I did see coming?

Kareena in Talaash.

I guessed who she was pretty much right away, thus was able to enjoy the movie a lot more instead of just focusing on the whodunit aspect of it. I think Talaash is one of those rare movies which work best if/once you know the spoiler. This movie is not about its suspense, it's about how you deal and come to terms with loss. One of my favourite movies of all time.
