If this KWAN is dealing in drugs for celebrities , surely they must have some recent chats with other big names too. Why only Deepika?? Is it bcoz she visited JNU protests?

I am sure almost all these celebrities are doing / have done drugs.... Pretty sure a number of them are addicts too...If deepika is one of them, it's nothing to be surprised / horrified about either. And just because she is your idol, don't try to generalize / justify drugs. That shows what hypocrites you are. Sympathize with her if you must that she is being singled out, but all preachers should make sure that they are clean, right?

You know, from someone practicing medicine, I could never understand labeling someone with drug use as a criminal. I understand it's illegal in India, but for me, we're taught how drug use and addiction are illnesses. I mean we even call them "cannabis use disorder" or "opioid use disorder". These are patients I see and treat daily. So for me, it's just so insane that someone who is taking substances can be considered a criminal. They're not hurting anyone but themselves, similar to alcohol and cigarettes.

Guess it just depends on the law of the land, but to add perspective, this still feels ridiculous to me. For instance, in Pakistan alcohol is illegal. Imagine hearing that Fawad Khan is being arrested and summoned for drinking alcohol. It's just perspective, coz it sounds ridiculous.

As for as health risks - alcohol and smoking cigarettes (which everyone in India does openly) carry far more hazardous health risks than marijuana. At least do far, marijuana has not been as strongly linked as tobacco and alcohol to Liver Cirrhosis, COPD, lung cancer, bladder cancer etc.
