Desis love to see such things onscreen bcz they’re starved for romance in real life, possibly
Bold - What makes them psycho? Love or BW movies?
Nope.. Love isn't everything. Life has to be lived practically.. Agar pyaar mila toh there is nothing like it.. But more often than not, even the love of your life turns out to be a case of serious attraction and nothing else. Love by itself is difficult to define.. Attachment could also be confused for love
I agree with it in the context of relationships 🤷🏽♀️
Getting in a relationship with someone just for looks/status/money/“convenience” when there is no love in the relationship isn’t mature or practical, it’s just a nasty trap that leads people down the path of bitterness, fights, depression, extra marital affairs.
I believe that kind of “what is most useful” practicality (where what you truly love is our second) should be reserved for choosing a career, not a partner...
Because to make your finances secure you need a steady, well paying job. But the only real way to make a relationship secure is mutual love and understanding 🤷🏽♀️
Love is not everything but love with Respect is. You can love someone but if lacks respect , it might not last. Respect means life choices, habits , ethics, morals that turns into practicality . You will really fall in love even deeper beyond looks when you respect someone for the way they their life.
Sometimes one Respect person but is not attracted to same.Acc to me, Attraction along with Respect is real love.
(Romantic) love is an extremely beautiful feeling, but it's not 'everything', according to me.
For you to remain 'sane', you yourself should be the centre of your own world. It's not a state of mind that's exactly easy to achieve- you should be complete on your own, with interests, habits, aspirations, dreams and basically, a life of your own, before indulging in relationships. There should be some level of emotional independence on both sides, because, before being someone's partner, you are your own person. Otherwise you may end up in dependent/toxic relationships because you end up needing another person for survival/your sanity, instead of wanting them willingly because you are in love and feel that you are happy and yourself when you're around them :)
In case those relationships eventually don't work and end, your centre might shift significantly because it's pretty much impossible to not get attached to someone you were in love with/are used to, but then you should be able to give yourself time to heal so as to move on and be back to focusing on and being in touch with your core being
Since love and romance has been such a taboo in our society, its become a huge part of films. We've all wanted something like that at a certain point in life. To escape from societal pressure-filled reality we've all watched lots of Bollywood. Even Hollywood shows like TVD, Grey's Anatomy, One Tree Hill fall in that category. Which is actually quite funny since our ancestors were not prudes (*kama sutra*).
But as we grow up we realise there might be no knight in shining armour. We might never find a Troy Bolton, Jim Halpert, Chandler Bing, Damon Salvatore, Derek Shephard in real life. If we do end up giving fairytales a chance, 99% of the time you'll end up flat on your face because your partner will turn out to be a jerk.
So to be honest, no love isn't everything. Irrespective of your gender you should be strong, independent, earn well and be secure individually. Then only think about love. Dont just date because something sweet-talked to you, you never know their intentions. Instead even if you really like the guy/girl you should analyse them, test them. It could save you from lots of pain in the future.
No. You need food, shelter, money for hospital, college and lots of other things. Love and respect can grow, often infatuation is confused for love. Who you are at 20 and what you value then, is not going to be the same at 40. Life evolves, we change-good looks fade, fortunes are made and fortunes are lost. Having a good life partner that understands you and shares the burdens of life is invaluable and love is there . it is not some Bollywood or some Titanic movie thing .
Besides love exists for children, grandparents, parents, brothers/sisters , dogs , cats, even cows!
a lot of "happily ever after" shown in BW movies wouldn't stand the test of time..

Yeah exactly... nothing is worse than when you’re in love but the other person is just using you...
That’s why it’s important to make sure that the feelings are mutual before taking any important steps!
