Sonchiriya and Chhichhore are testaments of his ability to mould into any character seamlessly and do exceedingly well. Kedarnath too was good.

Rabbta was actually a wrong choice from where his downfall began , he got in 2 a verbal argument with a media person in press conference during press conference , later fight with sooraj Pancholi in salman's birthday party , after what happened everyone know.

His personal life was not stable which start effecting his professional life also. If I m right kedarnath was not bad , so do chichore but ssr never got appreciation from bollywood which did pinched him .

But Shekhar kapoor paani film hurted him d most & broke him, he invested so much 4 this film but end this film dint made. YRF has role in it .

SLB approaches ssr thrice 4 ram leela, Bajirao mastani & padmavat but he was already booked 4 paani , be could do these films.

I will not say ankita was best 4 ssr but after ankita women came in ssr life were bad choice

Raabta opened his eyes to biggest reality of life- failure. He had never seen failure in his life. I feel it was difficult for him to bounce back. But he did that with few good movies as per his fans. I find his screen presence bland. None of his movies or songs attracted me ever.

Yah I agree, I definitely saw so much of the srk vibe. That’s no insult, he had other strengths, just like I feel Alia struggles in romantic tragedies like Kalank.

I also feel that it’s a combination of things, he was in a very codependent relationship by account of friends now and Ankita managed his life for him. Once that was gone he had free reign plus stardom, that can do a number on anyone let alone someone who is an overthinker and introvert. People shouldn’t be surprised in general the movie industry does drugs and esp not when a person struggles socially, it’s a major ice breaker.

Before lockdown it was predicted that suicide rates would spike and damn it has. It’s that environment where you are alone with your thoughts and that’s it. If you’re afraid of your thoughts what can be worse?

His acting in Chichhore especially the older version was really good and it was because he was not trying hard

The failure of Raabta coincided with his break ups. I do feel, more than Ankita, SSR was dependent on her emotionally. I am not saying Ankita was the best thing that ever happened to him but he needed someone like her who would be there for him.. Who would listen to him.. a strong support system.. Kriti was a sensible choice..God knows why did he leave her...

I don’t think the failure of Raabta initially broke him. I do remember him becoming much more bitter and angry once talks about Paani went through. After that, he was definitely much more cynical.

The fake metoo rumors definitely made it worse after that
