‘Alpha will break glass ceilings’ – Sharvari Wagh opens up on teaming with Alia Bhatt in YRF’s boldest spy fil

Sharvari Wagh, who has been steadily making her mark in Bollywood, has finally spoken about her much-awaited film Alpha under the YRF Spy Universe banner. The film, co-starring Alia Bhatt and Bobby Deol, is already creating a lot of buzz even though very few details have been officially shared. Fans are eager to know what’s in store, and now Sharvari has given a glimpse of what to expect from this big-ticket film.

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Sharvari expressed her excitement about Alpha, calling it a huge and thrilling project. What makes this movie even more special is that it's the first YRF Spy Universe film led by two female actors — Alia and herself. Talking about it, she said, "I think that it will break a lot of glass ceilings. So, I'm excited and a little bit nervous about the film. I am keeping my fingers crossed about the same."

She also opened up about doing action sequences for the film. Sharvari said that while she has worked on action in Vedaa with John Abraham, Alpha is in a different league altogether. "The genre and action is something that I have not done before. Though I did one film, Vedaa, in a similar space but it was more of survival action. Alpha is obviously a more sleek and stylish action," she shared.

Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha is the seventh addition to the YRF Spy Universe. Alia and Sharvari will be seen playing super agents, while Bobby Deol takes on the role of the villain. There is also strong buzz that Hrithik Roshan will make a special appearance as the mentor to Alia and Sharvari’s characters. The film is slated for a grand release on Christmas 2025.

Meanwhile, Sharvari Wagh is also in the news for being a part of Don 3, which stars Ranveer Singh and is directed by Farhan Akhtar. Shooting is expected to begin after she wraps up Alpha.

As for Alia, apart from Alpha, she’s also working on Love & War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. That film is scheduled to hit screens on Eid 2026.
