Wow you really hated it. 😆 SF is definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. I like the diversity and it’s fun cuz there are a lot of options but working and living here comes with a steep price. There aren’t that many SF natives left and most of the people are transplants from the east coast or other states who’ll eventually return home after they have enough of it.

My experience in SF when i visited. A very fat, bald white guy wearing a silk saree and bindi walking around like it was normal and nobody batted an eyelid. next day two guys kissing passionately while I had my kid in my hand . Now I am fine with whatever your orientation is-but on the street? I didn't do any more walking with the kid. I hear it is all needles and people going No 2 on the streets now?

You were probably walking around Dolores park or the Castro district cuz that's where the LGBT community is concentrated within the city. No one cares what you wear or what you do as long as you're not infringing on other people's space directly. People are used to seeing weird things and aren't easily startled.

Yeah the SF tenderloin condition is worse than some of the third world countries. It's packed with makeshift tents full of homeless people, ex-felons and drug addicts and all in all, it's just embarrassingly shameful how the city has failed to address it time and again.

Yeah Oakland has some of the worst neighborhoods that are best to be avoided. If you must visit, you better take a bodyguard with you and a cell phone that works. East oakland that borders with berkeley is really nice with some pretty expensive houses, however.

Yeah and even for locals, there are plenty of things to do for fun. I can see why people would wanna experience it before moving back to their hometowns. I haven't been to Compton and don't intend to, but I did like Beverly Hills.... Rodeo Drive.😆

I think it was in market street. I was walking down and was visiting one of my cousins who worked at Post street I think and we went to Chinatown had some dimsum -that is where I saw the fat, bald guy in silk saree and bindhi -in Chinatown. Then next day I came back to walk a little more and take the cable car -I think it was California street or was it Sacramento or something. That was a nice ride. But on market street close to post were the two guys kissing. Again-whatever your orientation is fine-just not in the streets in front of kids.

Fisherman's wharf was fun with the seals and also the Golden Gate bridge was fun to walk-but it was cold .

I live in Los Angeles. Compton has issues, but there are tons of working class family that live there, it even has a large Trinidad Indian community, and other South Asians literally live below Compton around Cerritos. That's where all the Indians lives. Beverly Hills, Santa Monica (where I live), Culver City, Silver Lake are 99% white and super racist hipter.
