So according to some highly intellectuals people with infinite wisdom and inexhaustible reasoning, a multimillion/billion dollars company earning few thousand dollars worth of money in Youtube via ads is beneficial to them than their product being the most disliked video of all time(bar the traditional yearly YouTube rewind videos).
It is not some chindi YouTuber or Tiktoker, whose career is dependant on this drama, that we can use the argument of every publicity is good publicity. This is about an actress who was already household names and used to have a positive image, but now this trailer's dislikes indicates that her image is shattered, and it will take a something life changing to get it back to what it was before or never be the same. Alia doesn't need Sadak2 hate to be known by more people, she is already known by India, but now they know her to be someone who is getting disliked by people. Doesn't matter whether this dislike is deserved or not, it is damaging because the world we live in, we believe guilty until proven innocent.
So I really don't get this, "people are foolish to give them more attention" argument. Alia isn't an Amir Siddique or such chindi Tiktoker , that this kind of trending will benefit her. It does her more harm than benefit her.
