So according to some highly intellectuals people with infinite wisdom and inexhaustible reasoning, a multimillion/billion dollars company earning few thousand dollars worth of money in Youtube via ads is beneficial to them than their product being the most disliked video of all time(bar the traditional yearly YouTube rewind videos).

It is not some chindi YouTuber or Tiktoker, whose career is dependant on this drama, that we can use the argument of every publicity is good publicity. This is about an actress who was already household names and used to have a positive image, but now this trailer's dislikes indicates that her image is shattered, and it will take a something life changing to get it back to what it was before or never be the same. Alia doesn't need Sadak2 hate to be known by more people, she is already known by India, but now they know her to be someone who is getting disliked by people. Doesn't matter whether this dislike is deserved or not, it is damaging because the world we live in, we believe guilty until proven innocent.

So I really don't get this, "people are foolish to give them more attention" argument. Alia isn't an Amir Siddique or such chindi Tiktoker , that this kind of trending will benefit her. It does her more harm than benefit her.

Fox has already sold the movie. Now any additional money is a plus.

A lousy trailer like Sadak 2 would never have imagined of getting 50M views in 3 days span. But it did. It even crossed the lifetime views of Aditya Roy Kapoor's last movie Malang. So who is the real loser here?

About her image being shattered, so was Hrithik's during the Kangana controversy. He bounced back from it. So was Salman's during his pre-Being Human days. But he bounced back.

All this did was add a few extra pages to Alia Bhatt's biography. Nothing else.

Have actually zero idea why Alia is hated. Kjo is mean but there's many like him in the industry so why is he singled out. At least Alia doesn't try to attack other celebs and tarnish their reputation, have never heard of her insulting any other actor. It's annoying that she always gets the cream of the crop roles but other than that uski galti hi kya hai, not her fault that her dad is Mahesh Bhatt.

Hope the anger in the form of dislikes of the Sadak trailer is towards Mahesh Bhatt and not specifically Alia because that's unfair.

Exactly! So paradoxical... if these people didn’t watch the trailer some people would’ve never known about this movie..(The trailer was not that good to catch the attention of millions of people) but now people will watch it to criticise it.. the trailer is a proof of that!

I can explain you tube analytics a bit to you. This was explained by a beauty vlogger.

Whenever we click on a video it starts getting revenue. Its 1 dollar per 1000 views or something. The more likes or dislikes it gets, the it is pushed into audience's you tube recommendation. People click it and share it for further. The same process repeats. Now you can calculate amount the video gets.

If the movie and music is sold already then it has started rolling in money.

I will only believe this negative campaign worked against her when the movie doesn't get any viewers. Tab tak ke liye everything is just promotion to establish this movie exists which is enough for this new method of releasing movies.

To Hotstar.

I know they're both owned by the same parent org, but Hotstar would still have had to pay for it.
