Mumbai Police are crazy. SSR's phone could potentially prove their conclusions, but they won't share it with the ED? Sure sounds like some sort of cover-up. Although at this point I wouldn't be surprised if they just realized they hadn't bothered to examine the phone themselves.

I think she may have been threatening to implicate him in the nefarious activities of these shell companies which is why she took her name off as a director too. Sushant probably only recently found out what had been going on with those companies.
