Khans never created the stardom like Amitabh Bachchan or Rajesh Khanna. Unfair to expect the generation of Ranbir or Ranveer to create stardom like Khans. Star-worshipping culture is ending slowly for good.

Sab PR ka khel hain.

But SRK was a level above Aamir and Salman before Ghajini and Dabangg. That's not PR, that's reality.

That's often an excuse and reason given by haters for hating or disliking a celeb.

But I'm not an SRK chamchi either. I'm thrashing his classic DDLJ in the other thread.

Okay jo samajh na hain samjho😆, mujhe kiya. Mujhe jo bolna tha bol diya, maano ya naa mano.

And SRK ki chamchi was just a joke.

But seriously though, SRK wasn't really above a level two Khans. It was just that he was consistent, unlike the other two who got huge success but also huge failures. Yes 90s belonged to the man, fair and square for his hardwork, professionalism and dedication, unlike the other two, who were inconsistent with their choices. One was a jerk who didn't understood the value of his stardom, while the other was a hypocrital idealistic who saw himself as a victim.

But the thing, is it is similar to what is now with Tiger, Ranbir and Ranveer. Yes Ranveer is more consistent, hence everybody calls him the next superstar, but that doesn't mean he is a level above Ranbir or Tiger.

Also simple example of PR.

A simple example, DDLJ is made to be the biggest romantic hit of all time, but HAHK was bigger hit in both cinemas(domestic and overseas) and television. But why was DDLJ pushed as some path breaking movie, because PR.

I think it's fair to call SRK a level above Salman and Aamir before Ghajini and Dabangg. Because SRK became the no 1 Superstar from late 90s while Aamir and Salman took a decade after that to get that tag.

Ranbir and Ranveer are pretty much same with same number of Hits. Tiger, I'll say is a notch below.

@bold, maybe because HAHK was also a family drama along with a romance, and was loved more for that. While DDLJ was a pure rom-com. Otherwise there is Mughal-E-Azam as well, which too was a romance and trumps both the above films. But this film too was not loved majorly for it's romance but grandeur.
