Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who allegedly committed suicide on Sunday, had cleared all his debts, paid his servants and manager and told them that he won't be able to provide for them going forward due to financial reasons."

ONE of Rajput's managers has told Bandra police that Rajput made the payments three days before his death. A similar statement was given by a close servant of Rajput's. According to the statement, the servant had told Rajput, "Aapne humara humesha dhyaan rakha hai, aap aise mat boliye, humlog kuchh na kuchh kar lenge.

Sources said that such statements do suggest financial difficulties which Rajput might have been facing as he did not have enough projects. "He was about to get a contract worth Rs 14 crore for a web series with the help of his former manager, Disha Salian, who also committed suicide on June 8," said a source.

The manager told police that Rajput was already depressed and Salian's death exacerbated it. He did not speak to anyone and would stay by himself in his room. However, officers investigation Salian's death told mid-day that they have not found details of any upcoming project as of now. "As per our investigation, Salian and Rajput spoke to each other twice in March on WhatsApp regarding some project. After that there was no conversation between them," a senior officer said on condition of anonymity.

A lot of investigation is happening because his brother in law is an IAS or IPS officer. Imagine if he didn't have anyone in his family at a good post. His death would have remained a mystery.

There was another article that said his Manager was going to get him a contract for a web series which was for 15 criteria and she was working on it... but then the news of her suicide came... don’t know if there is any truth to it...

His manager's suicide probably acted as a trigger. Depressed people usually succumb to explosive triggers.

This just saddens me even further. He was a good person and in today's times and especially during this pandemic there are few people you can call that. So many people are refusing to pay their staff or house help even though they very well can and are capable. This is not about those lost their jobs due to this period but there are assholes out there who won't pay their staff even though they can afford to. I don't know if ending his life was already on his mind when he did that but if it was that way, then the fact that he thought of them before everything... What a good and kind human being.

His manager death suicide or otherwise definitely acted as a trigger. Death of a close friend is always hard but death is seriously hitting people differently during Covid. The isolation, the loneliness hits differently. So many people cant even go for their loved one's last rites.

A couple of months back I had seen a tweet that had screenshots of some crowdfunding website for people in need of funds for surgeries/treatment where Sushant was quietly donating money - big amounts like 3 lakhs and more. Also, as we all know he contributed to the CM funds of Kerala and Nagaland. Huge sums. It really doesn't make sense that he would be out of money. But, who knows. I hope we find something conclusive from the investigations.
