When did you feel an actor was struggling?

When was the last time you felt an actor/actress was grappling with something utterly beyond their capacities, in terms of a role or performance? Or the script required a completely different level of acting than the one witnessed by you, so much so that you ended up feeling second-hand embarrassment for the actor n question?

Anushka in Zero, Taapsee in Thappad/Badla, and Kartik and Sara in Love Aaj Kal 2 come to my mind.

Salman in Tubelight

Anushka in Zero

SRK in MNIK

Hrithik in Koi mil gaya

In BW acting as a mentally challenged person = hamming and overacting

Only PC in Barfi was exceptional

Nargis Fakhri in Rockstar. Maybe if they casted a better actress, the love story would have been more convincing even though there were inherent flaws in execution of the story itself.

Deepika in Padmavat/Bajirao - her bland acting ruined these otherwise decent movies for me.

Shahid Kapoor in Padmavat - same as above.

Shraddha Kapoor in Ek Villain - her "aye villain" makes me wanna slap her.😆

Rakesh Roshan in a lot of the movies from the 80s - never understood how he became an actor. He just never had the personality and charm.

I agree with you on most of these but Shahid in Padmavaat was what the role demanded...I think he was good. He was supposed to be like that, to offset Ranveer's larger-than-life acting. That's just my take, though, I felt Shahid was true to the vision of the film as a whole.

Almost every actor today, their dance, expression, they way they speak. Too many practice and it shows
