Aishwarya or Deepika - Page 4

I am neutral to Deepika as an actress.. She is neither good nor bad.on the other hand Ash is 2 extremes..Her performances are either too good or too bad(due to overacting)..I really enjoyed her in Taal, Jodha akbar, Iruvar, Jeans, Chokherbali, Raincoat, Kandukondein kandu kondein etc..and like many says she is the queen of period films and even if she overacted in some, her mesmerizing beauty over powers everything else...And she has a lot of iconic songs to her kitty where she looked like a dream n performed really well.

So in short its difficult for me to choose who is better actress between Ash n DP because Ash's good performances are better and her bad ones are worse than DP's.

Ps: Everytime i come across someone saying DP looked beautiful as Padmavat, it makes me believe beauty is really subjective..For me she was just looking like a cloth-ornament hanger..DP has never looked worser than that in any of her films.

At least she didn’t suck up or abuse power to get roles. There are lots of movies where she acted very well. And a lot better than nostril wali kalank

It’s better than Nostril Mereya

I always thought Deepika's overrated as a beauty, she looks plain ordinary with minimal makeup, she doesn't have that divine beauty like past queens.

Well, both are way better actresses than they are given credit for.

Yes, they are both inconsistent. But when they are good, they are great. They shine in different kinds of films and directors. Aishwarya is excellent in mysterious icy femme fatale/Historical figures/Domesticated kind of roles. Deepika is amazing in peppy girl next door/heartbroken/grounded kind of roles.

Deepika in Tamasha/Piku and Aishwarya in Guzaarish/Raincoat are easily among the Top 10 performances by a mainstream actress in those respective decades.

I refuse to choose.

Close call between the two.
