IMO....even though I don't like Deepu...but still I consider her a bigger star than Alia...when it comes to the big female stars of BW of all times...Deepu will always be there....that doesn't mean that u dismiss off a younger star like Alia by saying that she is a success because of Dharma or KJo or her being a star kid.....why doesn't ur logic apply to other star kids like AB Jr or Esha Deol or Bobby Deol or Tanisha Mukherjee or Tushar Kapoor ...the list is endless....why didn't these kids who are the offsprings of much bigger superstars didn't survive....How about giving some credit to the audience who makes and breaks these stars...what are ur thoughts on Salman being a huge success and both his brother are not?..How about Alia being a really good actress ....infact she is 10 times the actress that Deepu can ever be.....how do u ignore that the audience wants to see her that is why they watch her movies? How about giving the credit where its due...
First off, Alia is touted as a star as big as deepika in the industry. thats where the comparisons come from. Its not the audience, its the industry. Theres no downplaying she is doing. She is saying what her stardom is being percieved by the media/industry insiders and comparing that to reality.
Esha Deol, AB JR was not talented. Alia is talented to an extent hence she is accepted by not only the audience but more so by the industry...who overrates her to death and puts her in the same leage as actresses like Priyanka, Deepika who have went through sweat and tears to reach where they are. Do I think they are seen as conventioanl "stars" more by the audience? Yes, immensely. More so than Alia. You cant ever down play her opportunties, the amout of films she has recieved through help/lobbing.
give me a break. Her post is about stardom not whos the better actress. Theres a difference.
