If you think Alia is a huge star cuz of an 8cr opening then Shraddha is a mega star cuz her bad film Half Gf opened to 10crores.

We can’t just throw numbers around for justification, Chappak could’ve opened at 1 cr. It doesn’t make Deepika any less than Alu

It’s not about a BO comparison between them. They both generate numbers based on the content of films. Difference is that one is evergreen and the other is not. One has the star aura, the other doesn’t. Infact alia is not different than the rest of contemporaries in terms of presence/acting it’s just that her films have been better.

Alia's a funny one because she's an industry-made star. We're told all the time that she's the new number one, the best actress currently, the most successful, but it doesn't *feel * like that to the ordinary cinema-goer who isn't a Filmfare subscriber or Reddit poster. No one is debating her talent but her starpower, the aura and charisma that makes actors and actresses SUPERSTARS is nowhere to be seen. Something a Sridevi, a Madhuri and yes, even a Deepika had. Maybe she'll develop it as her career progresses, maybe she won't. But right now? It's not there.

it does..numbers are facts and they define stardom..it is all based on these numbers your brands are decided..your fee is decided..everything is based on them so we cannot ignore them when talking about stardom..if kangana demanded and got what she did it was only through the numbers Queen and TWMR made..
