Thappad Has Decent Numbers On Sunday

Thappad had decent numbers on Sunday as it collected in the 6.50 crore nett range giving it a weekend of 14 crore nett plus. The growth on Sunday was good at 30-35% especially for this type of film. Mumbai and Pune jumped well on Sunday after under performing for the first two days.

The Saturday growth maybe more than Sunday but you have to take that with a pinch of salt but the Sunday gives the film a chance of lasting at the theatres. The film still has to go close to the Friday number as despite the decent Sunday the film has hardly collected so depends on a strong run from Monday onward.

The Sunday growth seems to be generally higher this as Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan has also had a much better jump than last week. The biggest plus for Thappad is a high ratio of business from Delhi NCR which holds strongly on Monday. If Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore can sustain as well then the film should do well. The other centres wont be doing numbers for the film

This may well emerge a surprise hit ...

Make Thappad a hit #more than a slap

I mean bakwas movies hotey Rehte hai...I actually watched the movie, it’s fantastic...it is so much more than a woman divorcing husband becos he slapped her

Best thing I saw on Twitter is old men complaining the movie was destroying family by encouraging women to seek divorce after one slap.

Arrey, then don't slap! Family intact!

Close second is the complaint no one makes movies on abused men. Well... what's stopping the complainers from putting money where their mouths are? Make a movie!

On serious note, no one has the right to abuse anyone else. Physical violence outside of self-defense is immoral and unethical and should be illegal.

And I'm glad the movie looks like going to be hit.

I don't think people are saying that the movie is pro-Pakistan. What they said is, they will boycott the movie, because Tapsee and Sinha were anti-CAA, supporting the jehadis dumbasses who are trying to bring the civil war in the country in guise of "peaceful" protests.

Yes it is stupid of twitter Bhakts(or anybody) to boycott a movie based on external factors, lekin you aren't actually doodh ki dhuli, if you spread fake statements, like what you accuse Bhakts of doing in Whatsapp.
