He became pally with those guys after they became successful. Sushant is inconsistent when it comes to giving HITs. Also, Sushant is from TV and Bollywood people look down on TV stars.

Vidya Balan is also from TV but she has gotten enough appreciation and eventually she won several Filmfare Awards. So being a former TV actor wouldn't have to be the reason.

It reminds me of how Rajeev Khandelwal was nominated for best debut in Aamir but wasn’t even invited to attend the function....How disrespectful of them..👎🏼 The bias and elitism that is on a shameless display is mind boggling!

Sushant may not have done the greatest acting in Chichhore but overall, I felt like he was the most suited for that role compared to any other guy.. like yeah, in the older timeline there was some hamming but dude did a good job in making you root for his character! Jitesh just plays favouritism all day long.. when it comes to those who don't suck up to their corterie, they ensure those names don't get any credit, not even nominations

Yes Sushant was below average in chichore .

But the supporting cast was outstanding.

One of them should have been nominated.

Also overall it's story was better than googly boy.

maybe Sus didn't entertained the tharki uncle Jitesh. Yeh Jitesh pe koi metoo cases ya blinds nahi huwa aaj tak, he reminds me of those creepy gay predators in movies who ask for sexual favors from male models.

Vidya was never a direct threat to any of his nepo kids though and Kjo wasn’t even that influential back then as he is now.

Vidya’s husband is super rich and powerful. So I don’t think anybody can neglect her. Now she is pretty much insider. It helps actors actresses career if they are married to someone that is really powerful in the industry.
