True that and they must have written her such a big check... even I'd have taken it.
I wasnt stating the instagrammer was islamophic but questioning it or wether it was a Sonam hater because for me the person was being selective.
Isn't it better to have someone questioning things even though they sometime can be wrong or act in an hypocritical manner than someone wgo doesn't say anything at all ? I wonder.
Sometimes it sure is annoying when celebs talk about certain issues but how many times have they risen some issues and brought it in the face of the world to see ?
That’s tricky. Let’s take Sonam for example. She was always outspoken and raised awareness about important issues. Women’s safety and rape culture being one of the big ones. But then when she kept quiet when Salman made his rape joke or the Hirani issue ( I don’t care if he was never charged in a court of law, at the height of the MeToo movement Sonam chose to imply that the woman was lying) she sends a very disturbing message that rules don’t apply to her friends and/or that she’s not willing to put herself in a difficult position by calling out powerful people. By the way I’m not just targeting Sonam with these examples. A lot of woke feminist A listers showed their hypocrisy with both of the above instances. Which brings us to your question, is it better to speak up sometimes even if you falter and have hypocritical moments? I’m not sure because sometimes by showing your hypocrisy you might do more damage to the cause you were supporting.
