Radhe is a remake of Outlaws, which is a good action thriller. But with Prabhu Deva directing it, there's no hope. Salman's biggest disappointments have come when he's worked with the likes of Sohail, Remo, and Prabhu Deva this decade. No wonder.

He should work with newer directors, but he's too stubborn and rigid to do so. And he should stop interfering in projects. It worked once in Dabbang. It doesn't mean it will work everytime. It didn't in Jai Ho, Tubelight, Race 3, and Dabbang 3.

Hope he does those ALR and Farhan projects. He needs to move away from masala movies. Action dramas/thrillers are fine, but masala movies only work for Rohit these days. Wonder why they just didn't get Rohit on board for D3.

Neither ALR or Farhan have spotless record. Before Race 3 him and Remo were going to do a dance movie about a father/daughter. That to me sounds good

Dabangg 3 Shows Strong Growth On Wednesday

Dabangg 3 did well on Wednesday as it collected around 15.50 crore nett giving it growth of 65% from the previous day. This is surprising as the public reports are not good at the big multiplexes which tend to score heavy on Christmas day while growth in mass is more subdued.

It shows the power of national holidays that a film like Dabangg 3 can show such growth despite being on day six. The film has now collected 107 crore nett in six days and now the week total depends on the drop on Thursday which will be huge. The film could be saved a little as the ticket rates today did not go to its weekend rates despite being a national holiday so that extra ticket rate drop will not be a factor in collections tomorrow.

The biggest factor that has gone against the film is this law and order problem in the country especially over the weekend, the film may not be up to the mark especially for the high end Delhi and Punjab markets but the fact is also there if these issues were not there the film would be around 125-130 crore nett in the first week which would be a respectable number especially for this film.

Dabangg 3 Day Six Business

Dabanng 3 did good business on Wednesday due to the national holiday for Christmas. the film collected around 15.50 crore nett which was a jump of 65% from Tuesday. The trend was much weaker than the holdover releases over the last two days as there was an easing of the situation of protests but on Wednesday the film jumped like the other releases allowing a little for the fact its a much wider release.

This film has collected 107 crore nett so far and it will be the fall on Thursday which will determine the first week. The fall will be big coming off a national holiday. The film get hugely in terms of screenings in week two in the multiplexes, it will manage to retain single screens but even here the business is not at levels what it should be. There is not an issue of losses as the film has only cost 105 crore including PA without the remuneration of Salman Khan who is the producer and distributor and 130 crore alone came from television and satellite. But more important than economics is performance for the big films as being in huge plusses is pretty easy especially when the big star is producer and its the performance which is a disappointment for this film.

Dabangg 3 has managed reasonable business on the last day of its first week as it collects 6.5-7 crore nett. The drop could have been more coming off a big holiday. The collections are just 25% down from Monday with a holiday period coming in the middle.

The film has collected around 113.50 crore nett in the first week and with this Thursday business there is a chance the film can be an Average fare if it can do decent business in week two. This looked hard after the big fall on Monday. There is a huge reduction of screens in multiplexes due to the release of Good Newwz which will make it tough but if the drop on the second Friday is around 30% then it could get to the 150 crore nett mark and Average status.

The film has not performed up to the mark anywhere though Delhi / UP could have had decent first week business if there were not any issues with this citizenship bill. These issues in Delhi / UP has meant a good ratio from Mumbai but if we look at the collections hen its pretty low in Mumbai as well despite a good share of the business coming from this circuit.

Dabanng 3 has managed fair business in the first week of nearly 114 crore nett and although the film has not really had a huge fall on weekdays the trend of the film is weak. The film was held up the holiday factor on Tuesday and Wednesday and the collections on Thursday were not that bad considering the Monday number.

But generally the film has not found acceptance and this will tell eventually on the collections of this film. The film still has a chance to reach 150 crore nett depending on the second week. Even if it does not reach 150 crore nett the fair value will be over 150 crore nett due to problems faced over the weekend but an action film with a star like Salman Khan should really be doing 200 crore nett eyes closed.

This is where the disappointment lies in the film that it has not bought in the sort of audience it should as there are not many Hindi films today which potentially can bring in the footfalls and Dabangg 3 was one of them but it was not to be.
