Add to that social pressure surprisingly mostly from close friends and family and you get this

I understand what you are saying completely but these are the setbacks they need to realize. She did realize at some point of time but went back to it again. Even if not willingly but they do set bad examples for those women who are close to her family or relatives, and also her admirers, Jo nikalna chahke bhi nahi nikal payenge.

Also her son should have stood up for her mother at some point of time. I have seen these domestic violence on less effluent families to stop after their children starts to interfere.

Also there are cases of suicides which are not uncommon when they don't know where to go, how to come out, who to ask for help with and with no financial stability they have no basic foundation to stand anywhere.

Rati did move out but got back to him again. Though she have no social responsibility toward anyone but people do look forward to those women who comes out. And when they get back to those beater man again to kya bole.

I have seen her son in that amazon prime show about cricket - he plays one of the main characters who has anger management issues...

To think that this has no repercussions on the son is plain ignorance and stupidity. I guess now people will say this is something between the couple - but the fact is their behaviour - aggression and submission has created a child who will grow up to be dysfunctional, this child will presumably date others and create havoc on that relationship...never ending bs

yes I agree with you. But how does one help such women to get out of the cycle? At least the fear that this will affect your child should have been put in them. I wish our society encouraged women to be financially independent and walk out for sake of children not stay put for sake of children ... this mindset also needs to change,

We need to have children from abusive marriages speak out.,l,

Pretty Sad.

Wish she had good support system of friends/family to help out and come out of such toxic relationship -

Since seems like she couldn’t do it on her own.

Leaving toxic relationship like this one isn’t easy.

Even the most strong minded independent women fall for it. It is the mindset. It is also embarrassment.

She rebelled against her family so she might have thought this was her fate.

Women in abusive relationship need to understand the negative impact it has on children. But social conditioning and self doubt prevents them from standing up for themselves.

It might not be easy-

But Rati had a good place in BW - career.
she must have gone through much mire than her Son. So I would she was wrong in thinking about her Son and not getting out of this relationship for her son sake. She should have thought that getting out is better for her, son and her side of family.

Its so sad and worse is Rati living it. Allowing the tormentor to abuse and harm you. I don't get it, she was successful, had earned lot of money, she was independent, could have left him. She didn't need his money. And definitely not the beatings.

You are feeding your tormentor by this. Its not going to stop ever.

God knows what impact it had on the son. Would he take it as fair thing to beat a woman?

What bullshit. Indian women and their conditioning. She got back with her abusive ass husband for her son?! What kinda son would approve their mother getting back with someone who beats her up? Is this what you are teaching your son? That in the future if he beats his spouse up,they would still come back to them? You failed at being a good mother if this is the kind of example you are setting for him.
