Break up did good for both.

Shahid was only a shadow of Kareena before. (He got Jab We Met because of Kareena). He grew individuality in his career, post breakup.

Kareena managed to explore and learn because of open minded partner. She got married, became mother in her own pace, without any pressure.

If they were together, they would have only tied each other down. Both would have suffocated the other.

Shahid appears to be a very old school guy when it comes to marriage. He seems to prefer traditional gender roles.

Kareena is very free-spirited, independent, and ambitious. She would be miserable in a long-term relationship like that. Saif appears to be a lot more open-minded. They both give each other a lot of freedom and the ability to express their individuality. She genuinely seems happily married.

So no she did not make a mistake, but probably made one of the best decisions of her life by breaking up with Shahid.

She seems happy with her life so what does it matter who finds success? Shahid got a hit after a long time so good for him. Are people supposed to keep changing husbands every 10 years when someone else gets more successful? Everyone faces lows.

Kareena was crazy about Shahid in his flop days so I don't think she cares about stuff like that. Saif has been over for a long time but she still looks really happy. She lives the life she wants and Saif seems liberal and she can do whatever she wants and has lots of freedom.

Nah shahid and Kareena were a mismatch couple....I don’t know how they were together for long time...they both were like chalk and cheese..
